5Finally for me... A Top Down - High Quality Bluetooth HeadsetApr 18, 2009
By "unknown"
I own a Mazda Miata. The car is noisy....just the simple truth! Even with the top up it's been so noisy that I couldn't find a bluetooth device that I could hear and people didn't hear all road noise. Even the dumb Jawbone bluetooth didn't work as advertised.

Finally, I found this BlueParrot B250 headset. It's the best I've ever used. People can't tell, I'm on a headset at all usually. With the top up, they hear no background noise. When I open the windows, they hear a very faint and almost unnoticeable noise. They hear me clearly, and I hear them clearly with the volume only 1/2 way turned up! With the top down, again just a little more background noise, but still they hear me clearly without wind noise.

With it's fairly large very comfortable ear piece that sits on top of the ear and not in it, the sound is loud and clear. It blocks out road noise as well as having a crisp clear (not tinny) sound. It has tons of talk time, and comes with a very long corded car charger. You can charge it and use it at the same time if you need to, but you get 16 hours talk time! It also comes with a home charger....I think the price is amazing for all the included items. I read trucker reviews that raved about how the Blueparrot cuts out the truck engine noise.....so this thing has great noise cancellation obviously...and well it JUST WORKS!

Try it out for yourself!

5This is the oneJan 23, 2009

This is the one you want. I tried 3 or 4 of the hang over the ear type and could never get the volume high enough to hear or if I got over 6 feet away from my phone the crackling would be so bad i could not hear.
With this one, that will not happen.I drive A truck and the engine noise would over power the other type. With this B250 I can hear clear and not even have it turned up all the way. I can talk and hear without the crackling up about 75 feet from the phone.
It has worked so well for me in the truck , my wife got one for herself to use at home.

5Awesome.....finally.....Jun 04, 2009
By Susanne
After trying numerous headsets I have to say this headset is awesome and surpassed all my expectations. That's putting it to the ultimate test of driving a convertible with the top and windows down on the freeway. People could understand me like I was standing next to them. There was no background noise. I could hear them as well without having to turn the volume all the way up. Other bluetooth noise cancelling headsets just didn't cut it. I could hear, but people couldn't hear or understand me. Or they could understand me a little, but I couldn't hear them so I had to turn the volume all the way up. That in turn would usually make the mic funny and again, they couldn't understand me. Also regardless of any of the four or five headsets I've tried, noise cancelling or otherwise, none of them worked well when I had the top down on the car.

This headset has even worked when I've been out on my deck where I have freeway noise and a lot of wind. Again...it was like I was standing right next to the person I was talking with. They couldn't hear any of the background noise.

Also due to a lot of radiation a long time ago my throat and voice don't always work as well as I would like. Some days it can be hard to understand me even on a land line or speaking directly into the cell phone. I have had no problems with being understood with this headset.

My hearing is also not the best due to the same reason. I can go from being appx. 50% to almost completely deaf due to the air pressure. This is all accompanied with loud tinnitus at all times. Again, I have good days and bad days. (Smile...) So far I have not had to turn the volume to a screeching level with this headset. I have been able to hear and understand the people I'm talking with. Now I have not tried it with my hearing aid. So I can't comment on that scenario.

I've noticed with any &/or all headsets bluetooth to bluetooth doesn't always work the best. Either I've had to go off my bluetooth headset while the other person stayed on theirs or vice versa. Again, this headset has worked much better than any of the other headsets I've used.

So like I said, it really has surpassed all my expectations. I am totally impressed and would highly recommend this headset.

3Noise cancelling works a little too wellAug 20, 2009
By B. Lian
After reading all of the excellent reviews this product received I was a little disappointed with my purchase. It's not that it doesn't work. It's that it may work too well. Unless the mouthpiece is nearly inside your mouth, or unless you're basically yelling, it can be difficult for people to hear you. I'd say 4 of 5 people I speak with tell me it sounds like I'm holding the phone too far away - and the mouthpiece will be nearly touching my lips. No amount of adjusting/repositioning the mouthpiece fixes this. Sometimes I'll have to actually hold the mouthpiece onto my lips. If you're in construction, driving a big-rig, or in a convertible it's probably a good thing to have such extreme noise cancelling. If you're in an office like me, it's not the best product. People will constantly ask you to speak up or get closer to the phone. If there were a way to adjust the microphone volume it would make a world of difference.

5BlueparrotMay 24, 2009
By James L. Beauregard
I'm a Trucker involved in construction excavation. Around heavy equipment and other loud noise that you wouldn't like. I have spent almost $900.00 in the past years on a bluetooth always seeking the best. spent between $69.00 to $129.00 and all are junk compared to this Blueparrot B250XT Yes it's not small but I tell you the price was less than $90.00 with shipping and this somehow cancels all noise but is able to recognize your voice. I can talk with my wife while standing in front of my Kenworth Tractor with the engine running and she couldn't tell. No one could believe me when I called them. This is really great. The last purchase I made prior to this was the Jawbone. Don't waste anymore money I highly recommend this B250XT
