4.8 stars - better than expected!Oct 26, 2011
By Jeff Pittman
"Jeff"
I'd give it 5 stars if it had a length adjuster but I feel kinda silly knocking it for that...if it had a length adjuster to make it fit your wrist, you'd still have all that extra cord flapping around to deal with. So I'll just wrap the extra cord around my hand if I'm carrying it that way.
I expected this to be bigger (bulkier? thicker?) based on the pics. The pic of the model wearing it as a necklace worried me; it looked like it would hang way too far down to suit me; not so. I have a similar item with a noticeably thicker cord and I thought this would be similar, so I thought the release connector would be equally oversized and I didn't want to secure my tiny camera with a an overly thick and goofy looking strap. Turns out that the cord is slim and the connector is proportionately sized. It's very easy to disconnect your device from the strap and just as easy to reconnect it, and it doesn't look goofy in the least. That can't be said of me, but that's another story.
All that said, this isn't a wimpy, fragile item. It feels like it will last a while. I'd be happy with this even if it weren't really inexpensive, which is always a good thing, and I feel a little stupid for shopping around as much as I did for a pretty insignificant accessory, but I'm really pleased with this.

Broke in 48 hoursApr 13, 2012
By Alexander N I had this cord no more than 2 days, that is 48 hours or so and it broke. Lucky thing that I was sitting down at the time it failed and my iPhone simply fell on my lap. Could be a lot worse, it could have fallen on to the concrete and shuttered in to pieces.
The failure of this product is due to its design. The engineer thought that simple glue will do nicely, but it just does not. Both ends of the cord are simply tucked into the plastic lock to which the detachable ring is attached. The ends or the cord are glued in with some species of glue imported from a country where glue technology has not progressed to the point where two things could be successfully held together with it.
Thus you have your expensive iPhone, hanging precariously over a concrete pavement by a spit and hope.
Moreover, you have to have some sort of protective case for the phone in order to use this product. Thus so you can thread the loop of the small cord with the ring through an opening hole of the case. The designers of this product thought that a mere piece of Velcro bend will be enough to hold the phone in place. It just does not work.
better than the strap that came with my cameraMar 27, 2012
By Mac This strap seems well-made and much more substantial than the sorry wrist strap that came with my engineered-to-be-dropped-and-repaired Canon point-and-shoot. A neck strap seems more convenient than a wrist strap, anyway, in that you don't need to be as conscious of the camera while walking around - it's pretty much resting on your chest, instead of swinging with your arm movements or having to be held. I feel my fragile camera is reasonably safe when using this product with it.
Defective Right Out Of The PackagingMar 24, 2012
By Miss Poorly constructed. The lanyard cord was detached from the clasp which made it impossible to use. I would not recommend this item.
