I purchased this extra adaptor for the call pod I ordered because the callpod conncetion is not generic and can not be used with other dadptors. The $10 price was very high for an adaptor, it probably shuld have $3 -$4 max. The adaptor works fine but I do no like be held up as a captive buyer.

Yep, I agree pricey, but to reduce the clutter associated with 3 Nintendo DS, one Palm Pre, one iphone all charging from the same outlet? Priceless.
