The car charger is perfect for the Iphone which seems to have short battery life....

Don't ever wait to use the charger when your battery indicator is red. It DOES NOT charge. The device was off and charged it for 8 hours. The result: ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGE. I was better off spending the 20 minutes to drive back to my job vs. waiting.
Secondly, IF the battery indicator is GREEN, no calls are made, it MAY add an additional 15 min...provided all your apps are turned off, your not using the (Google) location finder, and you are using Edge vs 3g
Otherwise, keep searching for another charger when you find a good one or a good review, drop me a line :D

Bought two. They were dead in less than six months. I think I used each one 2-3 times. Guess I'll pay the extra money and get an Apple one. That's no guarantee, of course. Both of the original chargers that came with my iPhones were defective.

This is the worst piece of china junk I have ever bought. Poorly made and doesn't fit the I Phone. As it won't plug in, I can't tell if it works or not. Car Charger for Apple 3G iPhone, Black

Does not work with iPhone OtterBox CaseJun 30, 2010
This product arrived in timely manner. Unfortunately, I could not give the product a 5 star. I have to remove the iPhone from its OtterBox Defender Case to be able to charge the phone because the charger will not fit while the phone is in its case. Cheap price doesn't always equal convenience.
