Your search ends here! Perfect! Like a GLOVE!!Oct 30, 2010
By Brittany Kirkpatrick
"first time mom"
I am super picky and a perfectionist and went looking for something better than the slider case that I originally bought at AT&T. I'm looking for a case that: will survive a pocket-high occasional drop completely unscathed, is aesthetically pleasing which compliments the crisp clean naked phone, slides so that I can continue to dock on my nightstand, has a bottom piece that won't fly off or wear out, keeps the phone "pocketable" and generally feels good in my hand.
I narrowed my search down to the Splash Cruiser and the CaseCrown Slider based on them both meeting my criteria (on screen at least) and the user reviews--I bought both.
[I'm sorry I ever bought the Splash Cruiser!!! Please see my other reviews if you're considering it and to understand why this is such a spectacular case by contrast.]
Anybody interested in this type of case would be totally happy with a Case Crown Slider. It fit all of my criteria, fits the phone like a GLOVE and has felt on the inside of the back which keeps the phone from getting scratched and helps create a really tight fit. The bottom portion oddly doesn't snap onto the top portion, it snaps onto the phone! This totally unique design is ingenious! Just enough tension to be able to get the bottom on/off daily, but ZERO play or opportunity for wearing out/flying off that I can tell. It comes in lots of colors too, but not all on Amazon. The side walls are thin enough that all the buttons are very easily accessible (more so than any other case I've tried). There is ZERO opportunity for screen protector interference, but the edge still protrudes just a HAIR to keep the screen from touching a surface if you lie the phone face down. I wouldn't mind it protruding just a hair more for protection's sake, but this also serves to make the phone feel really good in hand (again, more so than any other case I've tried).
Sorry folks. I'm not going to drop my phone just for the sake of this review, but I will update if this case disappoints. I also know that some of the satiny type coatings I've seen on other cases start wearing off over time--so far a simple fingernail scratch does nothing so I'm optimistic, but I will update if that changes. For now, it's worth the risk because the satiny feel is great when handling the phone. I also bought a white that's glossy (no satin finish) that looks and feels great, but it's just not quite as sexy feeling as this one.
I actually applied a GelaSkin to this case (see my other reviews) to add a little more personal style. It looks fantastic...will add some pics as soon as I can.
Your search ends here--this case doesn't disappoint!

Excellent case, glad I ignored the negative reviews.Apr 10, 2011
By Mike Testa Those negative reviews are suspect and I'm glad I ignored them. Can't snap the case together?? Can't dock with the case on?? I don't believe they were reviewing the black obsidian Glider. Or maybe the problems are with the operators.
This is a great case and both the felt interior and the exterior are enough protection for my iPhone 4. It snapped together snugly with no gaps, and is holding firm. I also dock my iPhone 4 with the case on, both on my Altec-Lansing inMotion IM600 and my Apple iPod dock with no problems. All openings for buttons, plug-ins, etc and are more than adequate and there is no blockage of the camera. I'm also glad there isn't a big hole for the Apple icon in the back since I mainly bought this to protect from scratches. The lip around the front seems quite adequate for protecting the screen, and while I'm not using any screen protector the lip shouldn't get in the way if one wanted to use one.
I haven't dropped my iPhone 4 so can't attest to whether this case will provide drop protection, but for my needs this case is perfect. And the low price is a bonus-I would have paid twice the price for this case!
Revised 8/16/2011: Well, I have now dropped my iPhone from over waist high onto my garage's concrete floor. Zero damage of any kind and I'm now even more impressed.

Great case... only one complaint!Apr 21, 2011
By rebelboarder After reading many reviews on iphone 4 cases, I finally decided to go ahead and give the crown case a shot. I was impressed with the design and strength of the case even before i slide it onto my phone. Installation was even easier then I had expected, and the fit was perfect. The case rides along the beveled edge of the titanium siding, and does not touch the glass screen whatsoever... this making it a perfect case for those of us that like to use screen protecters. Placement of all ports are right on the mark and the thinness of the case makes it possible to plug in headphones, power cables, and other compatible devices without needing to remove any part of the case. The one and only thing that makes this case slightly less then perfect in my eyes, is that the black obsidain paint has already began to flake off of one corner. This is not a big deal because the underlining color is also black, so I really dont mind. Even with the paint flaking in consideration, I will still buy a couple different colors of this exact case because it really does perform better then all others I have tried.

Great case!Nov 07, 2011
By gingermanbread I had fairly low expectations of this case when I ordered it- it wasn't the greatest brand ever when it comes to phone cases, and it's pretty slim and not particularly padded, so it wasn't going to protect my iPhone 4S like an Otterbox would.
However, for the price and size of the case, you really can't beat this. I've owned the case for two weeks now, and haven't seen any of the scraping that other reviews have complained about. There's no noticeable gap between the case and the rails of my iPhone, either!
A little bit of dust does like to collect along the seal of the iPhone and the case, but that's not on Casecrown at all, just kind of a fact of life. Dust gets places.
What really impressed me, though, was that it saved my iPhone twice already. Holding the phone up to my ear, I was bumped into and it took a tumble onto concrete. I picked up my iPhone and opened up the case, expecting shattered glass, and to my surprise- nothing! The case had saved the iPhone from the initial hit and a few bounces.
I then dropped it again the same day from waist height, and again, nothing.
The case itself has chipped a little bit, but I don't care about that- the case adds almost nothing as far as size goes to my iPhone, it DOES add grip to the phone, which is naturally kind of slippery- I'm just kind of a klutz- and it has protected it from concrete twice.
Casecrown has made a really solid product here, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a slim case that offers real protection.
It's not an Otterbox- I doubt it'll save your phone from a two-story fall like those cases will, but it adds so little to the profile of the phone, whereas Otterboxes turn your phone into the equivalent of a miniature tank in your pocket and add a solid inch or two of size to the phone.
For what I paid, and for the size of the case, this is easily one of the best cases on the market.

Matte finish peeling off within a monthMar 15, 2011
By M. D. Sullivan As far as doing it's job as a case this item is fine. I too had issues getting it to snap together at first. I then learned you have to make sure that both pieces are pushed up so that the overlap the metal on the iPhone's side. Problem is within a few weeks the black matte finish started peeling in various spots. I am returning this one and buying a "metallic" finish case from CrownCase which seems to be much more durable.
