Close to great, but in the end only OKAug 27, 2010 i love the fit, installation and overall function. Adds minimal bulk to the phone.
I purchased 2 of these in a 4 month span and they both failed in the same area. facing the phone, the upper left corner of the case (where it has to fit around the vibrate/volume/headphone jack area) will fail if removed repeatedly. Many may not find this an issue, but I only had it off and on again a few times and in both version the case cracked. I have not tried customer service in either instance so i cannot say what the company would do, how they would handle a return.
I'll move on, but until the failures i experienced this was one of the best phone cases i had every used.
Great Design and ManufacturingAug 12, 2010 This case is designed to protect the phone in 90% or more of configurations in which it could be dropped (with regards to flat surfaces). I was impressed with the design when I bought but six months later the case has not broken and I am now happy with the manufacturing. No other case that I have seen is so slim and protects the phone so well. I highly recommend it.
Note: The case protects the screen from impact on flat surfaces, on the phones sides, drops on the top and bottom, corners and of course the back. The vulnerability in in an approximately 45 degree window on one plane. Do the maths if you would like.

Good case with a caveat or two...Jul 24, 2010 I've used this case for a year-and-a-half on my black iPhone 3GS.
The look and feel, as well as accessibility of all ports, are all very good.
The texture is a nice non-slip type that really makes holding the phone
more secure. The cutout in the back allows that all-important Apple
logo to shine through.
A few issues that I have with the case follow:
* You cannot use most iPhone cradles with this case on the phone.
* It would be wise to carefully remove the case (stiff guitar pick or "orange" stick)
every so often and clean any dust or grit that has become trapped between the
case and phone back. Otherwise, the foreign material will abrade the shiny
surface of the phone. Discovered this too late, but abrasion was not very serious
but affects the resale-ability of the phone, of course.
* You are trading sleekness for reduced shock protection. Some other cases
offer more protection-- particularly of corners, but are bulkier, less sexy.
I recently received the Otterbox "Defender" case as a gift, and I've been using
that one. Since I work outdoors a lot, the Otterbox makes good sense, but it
is decidedly non-sexy and makes your iPhone look like something altogether
other than an iPhone.
If you go with the CaseCrown, look into the Luxo leather belt clip case sold
by PC Micro. It is very reasonably priced, sturdy, with magnetic closure, and both
belt clip and loops to secure your phone.
I'm just a regular consumer and have no affiliation with any of the companies or
products mentioned in this review. Just hoping this information might be useful
for you in making your decision.
Regards,
Suits my needs, and looks nice.Jul 08, 2010 As long as you file down the inner edges on the front, where the case comes in contact with the edges of the touchscreen, it won't interfere with your screen protector. And you can avoid having the seams in the plastic inside the case rub up against your phone constantly by simply applying some tape. Normally I would say having to alter something to make it work properly is B.S. but this was so cheap, and you can't see evidence of anything that I had to do to it at all, and it's perfect for me otherwise.
It looks good and feels good, you can still access every button and plug easily, and for someone like me who really doesn't put my phones through THAT much hell, the protection level is just fine. I was also actually expecting it to be made of a slightly sticky/tacky material (which lint and such would annoyingly get stuck to all the time) but it's really just a soft, flat-finished plastic, so nothing sticks to it, and it also doesn't show fingerprints that much either.
And it's true that the hole in the back for displaying the Apple logo is just a tad off-center, but I don't personally care about that. It looks fine.
Great ItemJun 09, 2010 Delivered quickly (International delivery) and packaged well. Product is light, tight and well presented. Highly recommended.
