 Case Mate Barely There ReviewMay 26, 2010
It's a nice case, just as the name implies, it barely feels like there is anything protecting the phone. There is some protection though, but how much, I won't purposely test. It's perfect for me in the sense that I carry the phone in my pocket, so the less the case, the better. The only thing I don't like is that it feels as slippery as the iPhone without the case. Not a great feeling. If they just would have roughed up the surface around the sides a bit to get a better grip, then I would feel more comfortable. As it is, I have to consciously be careful when handling it.

The case is great. It feels great in the hand. The protection film is unusable. It comes with two stickers - one to peal the backing film and the other to hold the protection screen while you apply the film to the phone. The sticker however is not easy peal, so it rips and is not easy to remove. I was not able to remove it at all, so I just removed the protection film and used a spare one I had from an earlier purchase. Although the quality of the film looks good, but not being able to remove the sticker makes it useless.

This case is great to the touch, doesn't bend out of shape, and great looking. The only issue is that it doesn't protect everything, but that's a choice you make for style and size when you buy it. I'd recommend it! Had it for a month or so and it's held up very well with no sign of wear or tear.

I was looking for a case that would cover the Iphone well and this does. Unlike most cases this one covers the amjority of the silver line around the Iphone, which is one of the areas getting scratched. It does protect the phone from scratches and falls. Depending on how the phone is dropped on a hard surace it may come out of the case. This is the only negative aspect I have encountered, but again cases cannot be 100% perfect and protect from everything. Maybe if it grabbed the phone tighter around the top and bottom areas it would not come off.

I bought this wanting something small and sleek with enough protection to keep my iphone safe from a drop, and I couldn't have bought a better case. Extremely happy with it. It keeps the iphones sleek form factor, and its not too grippy to where it gets stuck in your pocket. Highly recommended!
