Ok deal for the priceJun 25, 2009

I've had this case for about 4 months; it fits very well and allows access to my keypad with no problems. It is NOT a rubber case; just has a rubber coating over the plastic. But it provides decent protection. The only big problem is access to the charger/USB input -- it's a little difficult to get to the plug cover, but it's not a real big deal. The clip seems ok, but I haven't really used it because I keep my phone in my purse. You get what you pay for in this instance.

By Espoo2 The case is better than the other cheap case I bought at Fry's, but not aesthetically. Only the outside is black. The inside edges are not painted, so they are white. I had to go over it with a black sharpie to fill it in so it didn't look completely cheap. That wears off, so you have to do it again in a few weeks. Kind of a pain in the a$$.
It does seem to protect the G1 fairly well though. I just wish they'd produce a nice, well-made case for this thing.

Great caseFeb 09, 2009
By Alex I had a clear case for about a month until the belt clip attachment broke off. The rubberized surface of this case is very nice, and the screw for belt clip attachment is much better as well. Still, having learned my lesson I set the screw in with superglue just to make sure it never unscrews again, and the belt clip attachment is rock solid now. I also like the unobstructed access to the buttons and scroll wheel.
Also, the clear case used to press buttons on the keyboard when i would slide the phone open, but this case doesn't do that. I'm very happy with it.

Cheap (both cost and plastic material wise) but works for meApr 30, 2009
By Jeff Koenig UPDATE 8/14/2009: Had this case about 4 months now and it is cracking on the back in two places. The bottom button cover piece falls off often now. The back is falling off lately also. I'd re-rate this a 2 or 3 now since it doesn't last very long, but Amazon doesn't seem to let you change your rating. It does protect the phone but doesn't last very long. I just bought a Body Glove case to replace this one.
ORIGINAL REVIEW 4/29/2009:
Install was as follows:
Attach screen part by snapping it on screen section
Attach bottom buttons part by snapping it on that section
Attach backing part by snapping on back of G1
It also came with a belt clip, but I don't plan to use the belt clip. I just plan to keep the phone in my pocket.
My thoughts (I have only had it on for a week or so.):
It makes using the bottom buttons more difficult, of course, but still useable.
The screen still slides pretty good.
I like the feel of the case, it's a painted on material that kind of holds well in your hand and isn't shiny or reflective and doesn't hold fingerprints.
I feel more comfortable putting my fairly new G1 down on a table or hard surface now and think it will protect the G1 from scratches and minor dents and such.
The case seems to be made of plastic with a rubber like material painted on. I already noticed some areas on the right and left edges of the sliding screen attachment that seem to be peeling off slightly. The price is cheap, though, and it works for me for now.
I also considered the Body Glove case, but that one doesn't have protection near the bottom buttons and is more expensive.

Case is ok only if you plan to use this for in pocket useMar 14, 2009
By SleepyOSU I got this right after I got my G1... long story short. The case is just OK and only for IN POCKET Storage. DONT USE THE CLIP it will break off.
