I spent nearly a month looking for a case for my husband to carry his HTC Evo in. He's very picky in that he ONLY wanted a vertical case w/magnetic closure & belt loop. This case fit all those "requirements" & was big enough for the hone to fit inside w/a silicone case/cover on. I was a bit leary of buying it b/c so many cases that said they were for the Evo that I looked at locally were clearly a bit too small, but one of the reviews I read on here said they used it for an Evo & that it fit well, so I decided to take a chance & am so glad I did. My husband has been very happy w/his new phone case

This will not work for Droid X as the magnet trips car and media docks. Front clip is only decorative, so it adds unnecessarily to size.

I highly recommend this phone case. I liked it so much I bought a second; one to leave permanently on my duty belt (my original purchase), and one for everyday use on a regular belt. The belt "pass-through" loop in the back is large enough for a duty belt, but on a regular belt, the case slides down far enough to make it comfortable when sitting without being sloppy and sliding around. It is the perfect case and it is very well made. This case will clearly outlast your phone. I have an HTC Thunderbolt with an extended battery, and it is like the case was made for this combination of phone and battery. You should note however that without the extended battery, the phone would actually be too thin for this case. Consider that when deciding on purchasing.

It's a nice, good looking, well-built case, and the clip (as seen in the pictures) was the selling point for me. Upon arrival can you imagine my dissapointment upon seeing that the clip is just a vanity piece built on top of a magnetic clasp! Weak magnetism and pure faith are the only things that prevent this case from flapping open and releasing your phone to the wild during an evasive maneuver. For a case of it's nameplate and price point, this is an absolute joke and insult to those who need not a only a durable case (which it seems to be), but one in which will cage the phone regardless of gravity and g-forces. Avoid.

Every time I put my new HTC EVO Shift into this pouch, it turns on due to the fairly strong magnetic clip. This is my first HTC and had I known about this problem beforehand I wouldn't have bought this pouch. Unfortunately there's nothing in the product description here that says, "Oh, yes, this pouch will hold an HTC EVO Shift, but you have to completely turn it off before you put it in or you have to root your phone and disable some setting." It has to be completely turned off. Just turning off the screen by pressing the power button quickly will not do as it appears it turns my phone on and off randomly. When I took my phone out of this pouch a few hours later, IT WAS EXTREMELY HOT! Definitely not putting my phone back into this pouch again, it's going back to amazon!
