Excellent thin case for LTE Nexus w/ Extended BatteryDec 21, 2011
By Marcos D. Villaroman
"Tech Geek"
This one is my current favorite thin case. I really like the texture of this matte black case. Fits the Verizon version of the Galaxy Nexus with extended battery really well. No issues with the volume button action through the case. The phone in this case feels as slim as the phone without a case.
When putting on the case, it looked like it wasn't going to fit perfectly, with what appeared to be a gap at the lower left edge. But, after smoothing the case out a bit, it turns out the case does indeed fit very well.
FWIW, I've tried three of the cases Verizon sells: 1. Otterbox Defender - Protects phone really well; very nicely constructed. But, I don't like the optical quality of the built-in screen protector and it made the phone just thick/long enough with just the right amount of stickiness, that twice the phone got wedged in my pocket while sitting down, making it impossible to remove the phone without first standing up. I wasn't too crazy about the bulk of the holster attachment. Hoever, if you don't mind a bulky case that really protects the phone, this is the case to buy. 2. Incipio - This would have been my preferred case in that it had a rigid piece of plastic keeping the silicon snug against the phone. But, it does add a little bulk given the thick silicon/plastic back and I wasn't as happy with the plastic edges when grasping the phone. 3. One of the soft matte black cases. This one goes on/off the phone really easily; great if you have to swap the battery out a lot. But, it does add a bit of bulk.

Fits the Samsung Extended BatteryDec 18, 2011
By D. Fournier This case fits the stock phone very well, but the stock battery didn't cut it for me. So I went out and purchased the Samsung extended life battery and back cover combo to get more life out of the phone. I put this case back on after the swap, and lo and behold, it still fit - albeit tightly. For the first day or so the volume rocker gave me trouble (ghost pushes and unwanted volume changes), but that went away as the case stretched to accommodate the slightly larger battery and cover.
Battery issue aside, this case makes using the phone a better experience. The TPU adds just enough thickness to make manipulating the phone feel more secure, and the screen protector that comes with it is decent (but I still ordered a better quality one). Overall, this is a great addition to an already great phone. Recommended.

Good case, but not perfect.Feb 16, 2012
By CTgreen Overall, I like this product and am going to keep it. Deserves 4.5 stars. My (minor) issues with this case are the fit and the craftsmanship.
First of all, for reference, I have the GSM Nexus and use the stock battery (for now).
The fit is good, not great; it's a bit loose. The edge of the case (on the front of the phone) moves when touched around the power and volume cutouts, which is where your fingers are most likely to be on a regular basis. This could cause the case to scuff the screen over time, or peel up the edge of your screen protector if you use one. Most, if not all, of the reviews singing this case's praises appear to be from people who own the Verizon Nexus and/or use the extended battery. This will cause the case to fit a bit tighter, which I would perceive as better. I wish the case fit a bit more snug on my phone, but I can also understand why the manufacturer would want to accommodate all users (GSM, Verizon, Ext. Battery, etc.). They found a decent middle ground, I suppose. Just not perfect for the stock battery GSM version.
My second issue is with little nitpicks about the craftsmanship. Don't get me wrong -- the case is well-built and made with a material I quite like. However, a few small details aren't quite right... Around the screen of your phone, this case has a glossy black plastic-looking lip as opposed to the 'Matte Black' the rest of the case is made of. It looks nice, and was a nice touch for Diztronic to include; but there is a physically unpleasant seam on the left side of my case where the glossy meets the rubbery portions of the case. It's not so bad as to make the case unusable, but it's noticeable. The right side (power button side) is flawless, and I'd guess this will vary slightly on a case by case basis (pardon the lame pun). I'd consider filing it down myself, but I'm sure I'd end up scuffing the entire side of the case. I guess I'll wait (and hope) for it to wear down on its own.
Also, (and this one is just me scrutinizing the product) the cutouts for the secondary microphone (up and to the right of the camera cutout) and the one on the bottom for the headphone jack and primary mic are a bit... warped? All the other cutouts are nearly perfect, precision-cut shapes, but these two are kind of off. The one on the top of the phone is slightly teardrop-shaped (which by looking at the pictures here on Amazon, it should not be) and looks as though it could start to tear from that imperfection after repeated removal/replacement of the case. The one on the bottom looks like the material the case is made of got a little too warm and shifted during the cut, so it's kinda weird. Still 'functions' just fine, though. These are really minor observations (I wouldn't even call them complaints), but there they are.
Overall, though, this is a great case...
- The material is perfect for my taste; not flashy, protective, grippy but not sticky, and the right balance of flexibility & rigidity. - The design is nice; it understates the camera's 'bulge' on the back while maintaining the Nexus 'heel' curve at the bottom, it gives a bit more thickness (but not much) to make it easier to hold for people with larger hands (like myself), and (aside from my observations above) it does fit the phone quite well. Easy enough to remove, but will not come off accidentally. - The price is right. For around 10 bucks, there's no real reason to complain.
I just wanted to add my observations, because it seemed to me that the reviews were becoming a little skewed due to most people using this case with the Verizon variant or the extended battery. Plus, all the 5 star reviews indicate this is a 'perfect' product, so I wanted to balance the score a bit without posting an unwarranted negative review.
My vote: Buy it!

Should have made cutout for the volume buttons.Dec 20, 2011
By Jim Lee I really wish they made a cut out for the volume buttons. Every other button has a cut out. It's too easy to accidentally trigger those buttons when just holding onto the case. Case fits well otherwise.

Best Fitting Case for your NexusNov 30, 2011
By E. Stathoulopoulos
"Vagelis"
I have purchased the (other) inexpensive TPU cases (3 of them)that are now available for the Nexus. I was not pleased with them, the way they fit and how the buttons are covered made the phone difficult to handle.
Not so with the Diztronc. IMHO it is the best currently available phone for the Galaxy Nexus. I own the GSM version, but it fits the LTE as well.
The pictures don't do justice to the quality of this case. There is a cutout for the power button, and the volume buttons are easy to depress. The matte black back looks great and there is ever a slight gloss rim to match the front face of the phone. The phone is protected all around and feels great to hold, without adding any bulk or stickiness for pocketing.
If you are looking for a stylish and protective case, you will not be disappointed.
