Lets get this straight. If you buy this product, you should want something that is cool over functional.
Pro's
- The mirror effect is eye-catching and cool.
- Fits nicely over the Iphone.
- Made of fairly thick plastic.
Con's
- Need to turn brightness way up on the Iphone.
- Uses more battery power because of brightness.
- The sun WILL reflect back into your eyes outside on a sunny day.
- Scratches and oil from your skin shows on the cover.
Overall, I recommend this product and would definitely buy it again. If functionality as a screen protector is your first priority, get a clear screen protector. If you are as fly as me, you will love the mirror effect on an already cool phone. :) Furthermore, its been months, and I'm still using the first cover with 2 to spare.

At first I thought this was a great little product. I opened and installed my first screen the evening I got it. I found I had to turn the "brightness" way up, but once I did that, it was terrific... Until the next, when I tried to check my phone while outside in the bright California sun. I could NOT see anything except my own reflection. I had to do contortions with my body to create a little shade, so I could navigate through the screens. Even then, it was terribly difficult to see. I finally peeled it off. The rest of the three-pack went in the garbage. I highly recommend you do not purchase this. Unless you plan on only using your phone indoors.

Pros:
+ It makes your iphone look like a mirror when off.
+ Protects your iphone from keys and other pocket hazards.
Maybe:
~ Could come in other colors: gold, red, green, blue, etc.
Cons:
- Changes the display look to a blue tint... iPhone needs some sort of gamma correction / color calibration.
- Difficult to see iphone 3gs outdoors with brightness at 100% with auto-dimming off.
- The "microfiber" cloth (included) is nearly useless for cleaning. Use a real microfiber cloth or white terry cotton towel instead.
Follow the directions or it will pickup scratches and/or permanent bubbles easily.
1) Leave the front coating on until the end.
2) Get the iphone completely clean.
3) The underside uses a mild adhesive, so no fingerprints. Use the tabs and edges.
4) Align it perfectly first, don't worry about bubbles.
5) Lift up one half (top or bottom) and reapply.
6) Use an object with a smooth, hard edge to reapply without bubbles.
7) Don't push on a trapped bubble, it will leave a permanent dimple.
8) After one half is done, lift up the other half and reapply.
9) Repeat until there are no bubbles.
For the shipping cost, order a dozen or so and sell some to friends.

So I just got an itouch for my birthday and decided it needed to be protected, so I got 6 of these. I would not recommend this product to anyone. It was a pain to put on with out getting air bubbles on the screen. It makes the back button terribly harder to use. The only thing that actually works is the mirror function. But, it also ruins another factor. When the Iphone/Itouch is on the contrast is messed up BAD. It's like trying to use your phone with a moving rainbow going across the screen. If it catches any light, it throws it right back into your face so you can't see the screen as well. I think I'd rather just take it off and risk dropping it then having all of the colors messed up. Overall, as cool as the mirror function is, it brings down the rest of the visual quality, and you should just get a clear, regular screen protector. I think that's what I'll do.
