After reading many mixed reviews on other more expensive cases, I opted to give this case a shot as a temporary fix. It turns out this will likely be a permanent solution.
For the price of a decent cup of joe, this case overcomes 2 significant issues with the Evo:
1. It protects the rear camera lens and allows it to be ~.05mm recessed so the phone will sit level on a table (while remaining slightly rounded at the edges).
2. It slightly shields the hypersensitive SEARCH and HOME buttons on the front of the Evo to cut down on their accidental use.
Other Pros:
1. Good Quality Materials - Similar to the look and feel of the back of the phone, but soft and ~1mm thick.
2. Decent fit - Covers the phone well without ruining the look of the Evo. It provides ~1mm clearance between the top of each corner and the glass screen.
3. Except for the Power and Volume buttons, all ports and features are UNcovered (kickstand, power/micro-USB, micro-HDMI, earpiece, speaker, cameras, flash, etc.) For the covered power and volume buttons, 'outdents' are provided to allow these controls to be pressed through the case material itself. 4. Ease of installation and removal - 2-3 seconds max.
Cons:
1. The soft rubber materials allow the case to slightly 'bow' open on the top and sides. Although it readily snaps back into place, it is likely that a road warrior will destroy this case over the course of a year. The bottom section will be the first to go.
2. The covered power and volume buttons require 2x more pressure and some getting used to.

This is a pretty good case for the price with shipping. The soft rubber case fits nicely on the phone and balances really well with the kickstand for those who want to watch videos on their tables.
The one draw back of this cover is for those who wear jeans with small pockets. The rubber case is textured so if you don't have big pockets, there will be some resistance when trying to put your phone into your pockets so expect to fidget with it a little bit when putting the phone away or taking it out of your pockets. To me this is annoying but other than that, this is a pretty good soft rubber case.

This is an inexpensive case that looks nice and functions well. The extra thickness on the back keeps the camera lens from touching the surface of whatever it's laying on. It's the best case that I have found in this price range.

I bought this item because I noticed that HTC Evo 4G 3500mAh Extended Battery + Cover and it were often bought together and figured for a couple bucks what do I have to lose. It doesn't fit it very well, kind of stretches over the top and bottom but the sides are exposed and it slips off. My main intention in writing this is warning people off that may want to buy it for the same purpose.
Other then that its exactly what you think it is, fits nicely on the normal battery, offers limited protection without too much heft and fairly priced for what it is. A good product, just not good for me.

Perfect fit for Sprint HTC EVOSep 03, 2010

I read all the reviews here and looked at a lot of other phone cases for my new HTC Evo, a lot of them I either didn't like or it seemed way too expensive to take a chance buying it online.. I based my decision to buy this GTMax case on those, along with the very low price by BargainCell.
This case is a perfect fit for my HTC Evo (Sprint). It's big enough for the phone to fit into, but the fit is snug so it's not too big or too small, and the cuts around things like the kickstand etc. are a perfect size so there's no fussing with trying to pull out the kickstand from the case.
I had a jelly-like silicone case for my old phone, that stretched too much and came off easily. So, I was a little hesitant to get this one because it's silicone also, but the GTMax case is very durable and doesn't have that jelly-like texture. The sides could bow out a little if you like to clean your screen a lot (I do) but the case will never just accidentally come off the phone (unless you throw it or something..). It takes a bit of force but it isn't difficult to take off. There are holes in the sides for the USB, charger, microphone, and headset, as well as holes in the back for the kickstand and the camera/flash/speaker. On the front of the phone, there is plenty of room to press the home/menu/back/search keys, and the earpiece isn't covered by the case. The power and volume buttons are covered, but the silicone by these buttons are thinner. Another review said that the buttons take twice as hard to push than without the cover, but I don't really see a difference. It feels normal and isn't clunky/bulky or anything.
Also, as mentioned in other review(s), the case is thick enough in the back so that the phone can lay flat without the camera touching the table. I kept the sticker on my rear camera on until I got this case for that reason.
So in conclusion..This case feels great, looks great, functions great, and is an awesome deal for only $3. It was a good choice to buy this, I'm really happy with it (I'm actually writing a review! lol).
