Not the Right FitAug 05, 2010
By O. Tuchin Just as a previous reviewer stated, this cable is not an easy fit into the phone. But it does go in with a little pressure. When I used it to connect my Evo the computer, my computer would crash. So I've decided to you this cable as part of the wall outlet, and I use the cable that came with the phone for computer charges. I would suggest NOT buying this cable and looking to buy a different brand. As for me, since this cable does charge the phone, it's not worth my time to return it over the $3.00 I spent to get it.

Not charging at all... from my PC or Evo Power AdapterSep 02, 2010
By AG Not charging at all... from my PC or Evo Power Adapter.
There is some thing wrong with this cable. When I use the USB cable comes with the phone, it is charging. But when I changed it to this cable, it is not charging at all (but it is showing it as charging.. connected for 2 to 2.5 hrs .. no change in the battery charge) I have contacted them thru this site because there is no contact #. I am waiting for their response...
Thanks -AG

Version from seller Bargain Cell NOT compatible with the EvoJul 26, 2010
By oatmeal The version I ordered was from Bargain cell. I don't see that name attached to this sale anymore, but the version I ordered was false advertising - I ordered two of these and the micro-USB end of the cable has two protrusions on top which prevent the cable from fitting the Evo.

Some serious issuesNov 12, 2010
By Paul E. King Me and the wife both have evos. We both have chargers. I have 2 of these cables - one for home and one for work. During a trip, her charger got this cable as opposed to the stock cable. I didn't think much about it but we started having issues with her phone charging to 100% over a couple of hours, but if we left it on overnight it was down to 60-70% when we woke up.
I installed juiceplotter / juiceminder / juicesomething (free from the marketplace) and looked to see what was going on and sure enough it would charge to 100%, sit there for a bit and then stop charging.
We swapped her charger and cable to another one, it worked fine, I assumed the charger was bad and put it aside for the next time I headed over near the sprint store.
I've been having some issues at work where a USB hard drive kept dying. I swapped the drive, same issue. Swapped the drive case, same issue. Weeks later (today) was doing ok and copying 200 gigs from one USB drive to another, plugged in my phone to the USB hub and noticed the USB drive that has been working fine died. HD light on solid, drive disappeared, and computer started running badly. Unplugged the cable from the USB hub and bam, everything starts working again.
Now, this could be coincidence. There could be something wrong with her USB charger and something wrong with my evo and the way it talks to a USB hub at work (I have the exact same everything at home) but I think it's the cable. I noticed with the other cable that it was not suitable for syncing - it did charge (for a while) but if I put the evo in HTC Synch or disk drive mode it never came up.
So, as soon as I can find a USB diagnostic program I'll post the results, but for now I'd say spend a couple more dollars and get something else
--- ok, quick USB diagnostic took a month to get to.

Real HTC charge cable 395ma positive (maxing out at 438) Off-brand car charger 312ma positive This cable 2ma positive - I moved it from a powered USB hub to the computer thinking perhaps there was something afoot. Same after 10 minutes 2ma with the screen off and 80% charge.
