Just about perfectDec 04, 2008
By CD I have used quite a few headsets from Motorola, Cardo, and Jabra and really liked my Jabra JX10 until it went through the washer and dryer. I considered buying another JX10 but figured I would upgrade to the JX20.
The size, 1.5" x.75 is the same, although I think slightly heavier than the JX10. The titanium finish looks more upscale than most other headsets. It is not the fashion statement like the Jawbone, it is more subdued and refined than that. I can't think of a cleaner headset on the market.
The box included:
Headset
Ear Hook
Charging stand
Wall charger
USB charger
Second ear rubber with small pointy thing (standard is plain round like the JX10)
Basic Instructions (better ones with advanced operations available online at [...])
What I like:
1) Call quality and volume is great.
2) Rotating on/off switch and very fast connection time. If the JX20 is off and a call comes in, twist the ear piece and before the next ring it has answered the call. Because of this switch, it is easy to tell the unit it turned on (JX10 and many other BT headset, you have to look to see if the blue led is flashing, sometimes seeming like an eternity when your eyes are otherwise occupied or can be difficult in bright sunlight).
3) Works for me without the ear hook (so did the JX10). This has also been improved over the JX10 version. It uses a hole for the mount instead of a C clip that was prone to breaking based on JX10 reviews.
4) Power display, each time you turn it on, it will flash 1 to 4 times to tell you the level (the included charging base has a 5 light level when charging). When it is on without an open BT connection you can press a volume button for a current level.
5) There are no blue LEDs! Also the white LED it does have is on the underside so it wont be reflecting off the glass in the car and there is less looking like a cyborg or bluetool.
6) Multipoint BT so I can use it with my Jabra BT hub and Motorola Q9m in the office and Playstaion3 and cell at home.
What I don't like:
1) In Multipoint for initiating a call, the JX20 has a primary device system and you can rotate between primary devices. The JX10 would pick primary on a short press and secondary on the long press of the answer/end button. This is a minor complaint because it only matters when I am in multipoint mode. In the end this may even be a "different but not better or worse" type of issue and "new to multipoint" users may never even care.
2) It would be nice if it came with formfitting ear gels.
Others may care but I don't:
1) The button labels are unreadable (the layout is the same as the JX10). I don't need them and most could figure it out with trial and error. I just think it is funny they are there at all.
Bottom line, I would buy it again.

Almost perfect but falls short in biggest wayOct 26, 2009

I got this as a replacement for Motorola H710 which was very good, which led to a plantronic 925 (even better but commandeered by my wife), then the JX20.
Pros: The light hook and ear bud and size of boom/base with the metallic color is a perfect combination of looks, fit (secure), and size. This is pretty nice looking with a very low profile that seems even better to me than the plantronic 925. The plantronic does edge out on comfort but the wire hook made me comfortable that the JX20 was not going anywhere.
The hook turn on/off fast connect is all the goodness of the Motorola H10 with a more lean profile and the plantronic 925 is missing.
sound canceling is good enough. No one complained I was tinny and background was controlled enough in a variety a scenarios.
the charging stand is awesome, nice looking with power level indicator and a convenient place to put your headset so you dont lose it or have to scrounge for the connector every night.
Battery life is very good. It lasts longer than the phone (BB Bold).
The A2DP stereo to mono is great for watching clips on the go or visual voicemail. I wish all headset support this now.
CON: Only one real con and it is nearly a deal breaker. It is not loud enough. Very frequently, the headset is not loud enough that even in a moderate noise environment I could not hear the caller several times. The next gen jabra stone will soon be out so maybe wait for that. Or if you can live without the A2DP the give the plantronic a whirl. If you are looking for inexpensive the Motorola H710 was very good just not as sexy as the plantronic 925 (or possibly the 975) or the jx20.
Hate to lower the score so much since the headset is so close, but if you cant hear anything is is missing the boat.

Not bad at allJun 10, 2010

"just listen closely"
Since this was a lightning deal and the other Amazon reviews were so great, I decided to purchase this bluetooth headset. I was very happy with the results. This headset was so much clearer and better than another Motorola bluetooth I owned and the earpiece that had come with the iphone.
The only drawbacks I would say would be that it didn't fit around my ear too securely (and I don't even think I have oddly shaped ears or anything) though it still got its job done and having to recharge it almost everyday (with many hours of use per day) since there is no off button (at least I don't think so...I was too lazy to read the manual)
It's small, sleek, looks stylish in my opinion, and has a lot of great functions (though I must admit I was not able to use all of them due to once again...laziness to read the manual) Nowadays, I am using the iphone earpiece regularly because it's just easier than recharging and I don't use my phone more than an hour per day. However, I certainly do not regret this purchase at all and if you're the type of person that is constantly doing things while on the phone, bluetooth is definitely the way to go...and this particular bluetooth is a good one.

Jabra JX 20 Pura Bluetooth headsetApr 10, 2010
By Steven D. Neatherton Very nice product with great sound quality and features such as A2DP to allow music and voice in mono and still allow the wearer to receive calls etc. One problem is the ear gels. You are sent only two and there is not much difference between them. I wish the fit was better but overall the ear piece is very good and comes with a desktop charger. All in all --very pleased.

Excellent earpiece - Great buyMar 09, 2010
By kem MY wife is pretty rough on earpieces. She is a supervisor and has 30 employees under her spread out over 3 different offices in the city so she will frequently get phone calls from her offices at any given moment. As a result she needs a earpiece that is pretty reliable and durable. With me being the resident techie of the household I have been tasked with buying her bluetooth needs. At first I was getting her motorola H-series earpieces. In general their performance was good but kept going out after about 6 months. I ended up buying about 3 before going with another brand. We went with a jabra jx10. My wife loved it and it by far gave the best performance out of all the ones she had before. Unfortunately, it met its untimely end in a container of gravy (?) My wife didn't want to tell me how it happened either :( Anyway I went with a plantronics 925 for the next earpiece. Also an excellent earpiece but as I mentioned before she's pretty rough on earpieces and just the other day she showed me how the top of the frame was coming off. After seeing this model I decided to go with it. (Titanium casing, yes!!!) She expressed that she wanted a model that could play her music, pair with her company cell phone (a blackberry) and her personal phone (a palm pre), and have an extensive talk time battery life. So I went with the pura since she loved her old jx10 so much. Initial set-up was great with few hang-ups. The trickiest problem I had, though, was getting it to pair with both of her devices. To work with two devices you have to pair the earpiece twice in order to specify the primary and secondary devices. This was not fully explained in the product manual and I had to go online to find the full directions on google. I couldn't even find it on the jabra website. I had to enter the info in google and pull up a pdf file that listed a link to the instructions from the jabra website. So far she is pleased with the performance and battery life. Sound quality is good and she can listen to her music and any other info streamed from her phones. Overall its a good purchase and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a durable product with exceptional performance and features.
