Oops. Be careful ordering this because it's thicker so it takes an extension door to fit my LG phone. I'm returning it for a standard battery from the company since I don't want a heavier, thicker phone and also have to buy an extension door for the phone.

Received my new battery promptly and was very pleased to find that it is a brand-new, genuine, LG Brand Battery -- with 1700 mAh capacity.
Many other "extended" batteries that were available from other vendors were after-market brands with only 1400 mAh capacity.
This genuine LG 1700 mAh battery is thicker than the original, and requires a replacement door -- which I also purchased at a ridiculouly-low price from Amazon.com --- The LG VX8100 phone is slightly thicker and slightly heavier with the more powerful and longer-lasting battery in place, but it's WELL worth the slight increase in heft to gain the GREATLY-INCREASED talk and standby times.
PERFECT for your VX3200, VX3300, VX4500, VX4700, VX6100, and VX8100 LG Phones. Don't leave home without it !!
UPDATE -- September,'09: After a full year of use, the extended-life battery has performed perfectly -- and the charge seems to last FOREVER !!!

Talk time is like tripled, and standby time is not measured in days. Pricey, I think I can get a better deal with like a generica branded extended battery for over half off. But when it comes to batteries I guess if you want OEM you will have to pay more for it. No complaints

Inexpensive way to revive the VX8100Aug 03, 2008

I bought this to replace a dying battery for an LG VX8100, which was getting about one hour of talk time at the most.
This product works much better than I'd expected. During my first trial with it, the battery lasted for about 4 days, with six to seven hours of talk time.
Of course, the phone is heavier with this battery, probably about 25% more than with the standard battery. The weight difference isn't that noticeable, and if it were, you'd probably be better off with a lighter phone such as a RAZR.

This is a great product, it has trippled my talk time and only needs to be charged about once a week. I would reccomend it to anyone who still has the vx 3200 phone.
