VCAST Disk does NOT contain Mobile Office Kit advertisedMay 04, 2009
By C. Darryn I did order the Mobile Office Kit described in this ad from AccessoryWizard. Instead, I received the VCAST disk along with a cable (note: their original ad at the time showed the "Mobile Office Kit" 2-disk set software, not the VCAST software currently displayed in their ad). The problem is that the VCAST disk does NOT contain the "Mobile Office Kit" QuickLink software necessary to use your cellphone to connect to the Internet. That Quicklink software comes on two different disks that the company apparently did not have or I'm sure they would have sent it when I requested the software so I could use the cable they did send me. If all you need is the VCAST software and the cable so you can transfer MUSIC files from your laptop to your mobile phone, then this is a good purchase but be aware that the necessary "Mobile Office Kit" software is NOT on that VCAST disk and you won't be able to access the Internet without it. The company did courteously, fairly and promptly refund my purchase price and shipping costs so this ultimately cost me nothing but time.
I'M NOT SURE HOW TO RATE THIS ITEM. The product is NOT the "Mobile Office Kit" advertised so I can't rate it good or bad because I never received it. So I guess I'll just rate it "fair" and hope you read this review before ordering. Thanks and good luck.
