How the Mophie Air Battery/Case WorksDec 06, 2010
By Debbie Lee Wesselmann Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1GJGNJN3MLV9L In this video review, I talk about the operation, weight, features, and what I like/don't like about the Mophie Air for iPhone. I also compare it to the similar Splash O2 Battery Case, for which I also created a video review, and the Mophie Air for 3G/3Gs. The Mophie battery/case comes with a USB cable for charging through your computer or through any other USB power source. Unlike some other reviewers, I find that my case fits well; because the top takes real effort to remove, I can't see it coming off by accident. The bottom of the case is attached firmly via the dock connection.

IF YOU ARE PICKY, YOU WILL LOVE THIS!Nov 19, 2010

"Illy Master"
I am super picky and I love this case for my pampered iphone 4. Before I even get to the actual use of the battery, let me start by saying the fit and finish on this case is just superb. It fits so seamlessly over the iphone that the Juice Pack and the iphone together just seem like one unit. It really does not make the phone that heavy either in my view.
As for the battery, if you use the phone a good bit during the day surfing the internet, texting, watching youtube, etc., this this is your new case. The iphone 4 battery is far superior than the one on the iphone 3g. I am not sure if the Mophie Juice Pack doubles the iphone 4 battery, but it might come close. I can go all day and into the evening now with HEAVY iphone usage and I do not even come close to running out of power. I am very pleased with this product. The LED battery indicator on the Juice Pack looks pretty cool too.
As for Amazon, I did the free Super Saver shipping and still received the Mophie Juice Pack in just a few days.

Depends on Your Use and ExpectationsMar 11, 2011
By Joonbeams This device, for the first few uses, will dramatically extend your battery life. If you can deal with the added bulk (not nearly as small as I was expecting), it's practical at first. But soon the battery's juice starts to fade - and I mean soon as in a few days! It's still okay, but not the mammoth you start with. Now, with modest use (email, phone, ipod, and a few games), I get about half a day (~12 hrs)on the expansion battery before hitting the iPhone battery. Early on, it was well over a day. Not shabby still, but what then happens is that you spend basically the same amount of "down" time (at desk, overnight, etc.) charging the pack as you did with the iPhone alone, only it takes really long to fully charge (several hours), because you need to charge it daily. I really wanted to feel "freedom" from constantly worrying about charging, but that's not the case. Suddenly, it's not so practical.
Here's how I use it now. At work, I charge the pack separately and the iPhone separately. With day-to-day use, I don't use the pack. But for extended travel and trips, I keep the pack charged, then slide the iPhone in for extended use. That's one of the nice things about how easily the pack goes on. So I guess it's a pretty decent backup plan for some extra juice (and doubles as a bulky case too which I need more when I'm travelling anyway). I just don't find it that practical for day to day use, unless I really have no access to charging facilities for a long while. And at the price, I don't feel like it's really a long-term bang for the buck.

Beware of Knockoff CasesFeb 17, 2012
By Philntheblanks I had to send back to of these units before learning the Mophie cases offered here are knock offs. My problem with both was that the soft aluminum around the sides where the USB port is located is very weak and will form hairline cracks causing it to not charge after couple weeks of use.
I couldn't understand why these cases were so highly rated and I was having so much trouble. But after reading dozens of reviews I read where someone suggested that these cases were knockoffs and gave it indicators as to how to know for sure.
After ordering my third one from Mophie.com, I now can concur with his analysis. The review that I read had a whole list of ways to know the difference but the two main points that I found were these:
1. A genuine Mophie case will come fully charged. 2. The USB cable that comes with the charger will have the Mophie logo on it.
I am now convinced I own the best chargeable iPhone case available.

Awesome Product!Dec 30, 2010
By Tim T I got a new iphone 4 for Xmas and I had been looking for a case that not only looked good, but provided sufficient protection of the phone while allowing for easy daily use. I got a used Otterbox from a Nephew who thought it was too bulky. It works great and if there's any knock on it, it is pretty bulky. But I just received the Mophie Juicepack as a gift from a friend and it is amazing. First off, the look and feel is elegant, the red reminds me of Iron man's hot rod red. The sidetrim is silver which makes for a great contrasting look. Second, all buttons are accessible without a hitch. Third, the juicepack is configured to channel the sound from the speakers toward the front of the phone, which makes for much improved sound. In fact, I noticed it immediately when I tried out a movie, Avatar. The difference is unmistakeable. Fourth, the case is very sturdy, although I haven't dropped the phone yet, but it appears it will provide sufficient protection for above normal wear and tear.
Lastly, and this is the most amazing feature of this product, the built in juicepack charger allows you to charge your battery on the go. When your battery drains down to red, you simply flip the switch on the juicepack and it will recharge the battery. This essentially gives you double the battery life for your phone! This is such a simple idea, DAM, I wish I would have thought of it first. Get this product, you will not be dissappointed!
