Motorola H690 Bluetooth HeadsetSep 11, 2009

I love this headset. Paid $49 for it in April 2009. Lightweight, good sound, and with on/off switch. The docking charger does not bother me. However, as of yesterday Sept. 10, 2009, there is no sound coming out. It pairs with the phone. Everything seems to be working fine, it has full charge, still no sound. It stopped working while I was driving too. I missed a few calls because California prohibits using cell phone while driving without handfree headset. It's definitely not the phone because the old Plantronic works just fine. Well, it was great while it lasted. Now I have to decide whether to get the same one, or use that Plantronic (heavy, keeps falling off), or just get something else.
UPDATE 9/14/09: I called Motorola support. They have been very understanding. They will send a brand new replacement H690 via FedEx because I only have this bluetooth for less than a year. They only asked me when I purchased it and where. No proof of purchase necessary. Once I get the replacement, all I have to do is send the broken one back. They even include the return postage with the replacement shipment. Now, that's awesome Motorola customer service. So anyone out there having problem with their product, give Motorola a call before throwing it out.

Whatever the magic is, this works better than the Plantation 510, which was always falling off and has a really awkward carrying case/battery supplement and the highly rated Jawbone headset. The jawbone has to press against your cheekbone and doesn't work for a fellow with a beard.

The H690 works great, sounds excellent, and fits well without fear of it falling off. Sure the charger is separate but so are most rechargeable items. That has nothing to with the performance of the headset, which is fantastic. Very clear sound quality and never any problem hearing the caller. I have bought 2 of these.
