5Outstanding little unitFeb 02, 2009
By Oculus Sinister
Purchased the H780 as a companion for my Blackberry Storm. This unit is the most natural sounding of the headsets I tried. These are the the pros and cons I have found.

1- Callers have not once noticed I was on a headset. The noise canceling works very well, and I no longer turn the stereo down during phone calls. The noise canceling can be turned off and on via a small button on the front of the unit, cool to test during calls to show the difference.

2- Comes with 3 ear cushions and hook, The fit without the hook works best for my shape of ear. At 11 grams it's the first unit that I have forgotten was on my ear. (until phone rang that is)

3- No hiss and volume has not once been to quiet for me, it self adjusts and you have final say with dedicated volume buttons.

4- The battery life has been fine for my purposes, You can check level by pressing both volume buttons at same the time. The H780 charges via the included Micro USB compact wall charger. Unplanned bonus is the Storm and H780 can both use same charger.

5- Initial pairing with my Storm was uneventful and while I haven't tried it you can pair with two devices at the same time.

As far as cons go there is one and it's more Phone and User related: 1-The volume can be too loud for me if I was talking under loud conditions during a call and then go to a quieter location and get a call. YMMV

So many reviews for Bluetooth headsets are lacking in useful information and lack any specifics such as phone used and if unsatisfactory the reason why, not just that it "sucks" or is "awful" So this one is a little long and only my second on Amazon.

5Excellent Noice Reducing HeadsetNov 07, 2008
By B. Thompson
I bought this as a replacement for my H12 that was attacked by my kids. This piece even puts the H12 to shame. The noice reduction is fantastic, I am on the road and in noisy areas quite often and everybody could hear me perfectly. It is very easy to get running right out of the box and does not need a charging cradle like the H12 which is a nice change. Did not have any problems hooking up to my Iphone 3g which allows for all the additional features to be used. It is the most comfortable piece that I have owned and is the best sound quality as well. Fantastic product!!

5Great ProductJan 13, 2009
By Daniel L. Powell
I bought this around christmas time. It works great and fits very comfortably into the ear. Sounds great and people hear me just fine on the other end. The best price I found was here on amazon, by about $20. Shipped very fast well.

3Doesn't fitAug 31, 2009
By C. Sakamoto "Hoplow"
I have been through several Bluetooth headset devices from several manufacturers.

The good news, the unit seems to work well. People can hear me clearly and I can hear them...just what you would hope for. Has a long battery life for such a small unit. It's light weight and the controls are easy to use. Set up is a snap. One of the reasons I chose this model is the two phone feature. I have a company cell and a personal cell. I do not mix business with pleasure so to speak. It was easy to pair with my Centro on Sprint and LG on Verizon.

The bad news. People have different shaped ears, the ear buds are easy to swap out but fall off easily too. The clear plastic ear piece is flimsy and kind of springy. For me it dug in and made sore spots on the back of my ear. Because it's flimsy it moves quite a bit so I was constantly messing with it. I tried rotating the ear piece into other positions and experimented with all three ear buds. It defeats the whole point of having a Bluetooth headset if I have to keep one finger on it so it doesn't move. If you have a tall ear (distance where the top of your ear meets your head and your ear canal) it won't fit right.

I finally ended up pulling the ear piece off, used my heat gun and re-shaped the thing. Not really something most people would be willing to do.

I would suggest to Motorola that they need to offer different types of ear clip in addition to the ear buds.

1Problems From Day OneApr 22, 2010
By Joel A. DiGirolamo
I should have taken this headset back when I first got it... Many people say that I sound like I'm down in a hole, others say I cut in and out. Sometimes when I press the button to turn the noise cancelling on or off (I have no idea if it is on as the default or off as the default) it gets better, but not always.
