This replacement battery was, as indicated, an OEM LG battery (model LGIP-530B.) Although it was manufactured when the LG Dare first came out (June 2008), it has worked fine with repeated charge/discharge cycles since my purchase in September 2009. I had heard that lithium batteries age whether you've used them or not, but I see no difference between the original battery & this replacement.
Even though this product is now offered through a different company than when I purchased mine, I would expect that your experience should be as good.

At the 19 month mark my LG Dare began to act funny and it was the battery going. With all of the talk of an iPhone on Verizon, and the much touted Droid Incredible out, it was hard to decide what to do, so for less than $10 I went for the battery to buy time and maintain my upgrade to wait for the right phone.

Good product, but I don't think it was new, as portraited. My used one lasts longer on a charge that this one, & they're the same thing.
