Not a bad charger. Works fine with my nokia e71, and also the e51 or e72. (and others, obviously.) And if you leave it plugged in, it will only drain minimal power (hence the high efficiency nametag, which is not really an appropriate description, since it isn't exactly super efficient or fast in terms of charging your phone.) But it gets the job done.

It was $3.99 for me. I used it with my e71x. For a few months since my original charger died (I accidentally crushed the tip, then broke it when trying to fix it) I had been using a usb charger (it required a 5v--> 6v regulator). Anyway, Usb charger charges at ~400ma, and took approximately 4 hours to charge. So it was nice to get this charger, that charges in about half the time. It's good quality.

This charger seems to be really original, it looks and behaves like the original charger. I consulted Nokia and they informed me that the charger AC-4U(original one that came with my mobile) is no more in production but the AC-8U(this one) who replaces it.
On Nokia site it costs 18$. I bought two form Amazon for my Nokia N73 at $13.32 ($6.16 per charger) including standard chipping! All non original chargers take double the time that an original one takes to charge the battery. This one takes one and half hours, exactly like the original AC-4 I had to fully charge an empty battery.
Thank you for reading my review, finally this is the best charger you can buy for compatible Nokia phones.

We have already broke 2 of the original chargers (AC-5U) that came with the E71s, N82s and E51s (the one with the small 2mm barrel connectors). This one (AC-8U) simply uses higher quality components. The wire is thicker and the barrel connector is stronger (has an extra white sleeve on the inside). So far so good.

Nothing extraordinary about this charger...It's well made, inexpensive and hasn't fried my phone. Fine choice if you need an additional charger for a compatible phone.
