I used this in my car for about one month and then it stopped working. It starts charging for a second and then fails. The blue light that shows it has power stays lit but the charger does nothing. I'm very disappointed because this is labeled as an HTC product and that's the reason I bought it. I should have spent a few extra dollars to get one that was better quality instead of spending less on a defective product.

This car charger is very poorly constructed and is on the verge of coming apart after a little over a month of light use; also the provided cable stopped working after only a couple of weeks. Do not waste your time or money with this product.

This product IS NOT OEM HYC. It does come in a HTC box, but is clearly of knockoff quality. The micro USB cable came apart in my hands on its second use. The cable was very thin and looked to be made by a three year old. The connectors on both ends literally come off when you pull on them (very slight pressure). DO NOT BUY

I gave a good review before on this product but I'd like to recant that. I ordered this item and the first one didn't work so the seller was really good with sending me another one. I thought there was just a defect with the first one, but the second one came and eventually it did the same thing as the first one. So I figured out (by using my wall usb charger) the only thing HTC about the product is the part that actually goes into the cars charger and the cord is just some rinky dink USB from a random manufacturer. There is no reason why both of the cords should have a short in them. So now im stuck with two non-working "HTC" chargers.
