It makes the phone rather hefty, but you double the battery life. This extended battery helped me survive San Diego Comic-Con, where I appreciated the ability to surf the internet, constantly check twitter, and snap and upload photos while waiting in line. With a full charge, I could start the day at 5:30 a.m., enjoy moderate use during most of the day plus heavy use during the three-hour waiting time for popular events, and make it to dinner with 15% battery life. In a typical work day, with several hours of streaming Pandora, I usually get home with about 30% battery life.

With the standard battery, one must spend all day micro-managing the LG Revolution's settings just to get 6 hours of use.
With the Extended battery + door, one can have the screen on full brightness all day, GPS and WiFi enabled, run apps and games and still have 60% battery the next day.
Yes, it ruins the clean lines of the LG Revolution and makes the phone heavier...But it's worth it.
PS. The Lg Revolution Shell Holster Combo's holster (sans shell) will snugly fit the Revo with the Extended battery + door.

I bought the LG Revolution 4G and was extremely disappointed in it's short battery life. The original battery lasted me 4-6 hours out of the box. I needed a second battery or a battery that would last most of the day on the go. I chose this extended battery over a charging dock that will charge a back up battery and your phone at the same time. This battery lasts about double the time as the original, so I don't have to carry and charge a spare battery. The extended battery makes the phone heavier and about a quarter inch thicker, which is a negative if you carry your phone in your pocket.

This is a great must have in you struggle with battery life with your Lg Revolution. I get double battery life compared the regular battery.
I'm using the shell holster combo OEM Verizon. The shell doesn't fit in the phone but the extra thickness from the battery cover will secure the phone in the holster.

When I made the decision to buy a smartphone, I did so hoping that I could actually use the thing without too much stress. When I first bought the Revolution, I loved the device but found myself obsessing about the continuously (and rapidly) dropping battery life. This probably was my own fault, coming from a flip phone which would last several days before dying even with heavy use. Either way, I wasn't happy with the situation. My battery would last about 10 hours before dying completely, with intermittent data use (turned off when not in use) and moderate texting.
I bought this battery, and with even more texting than I did at the time, a couple hours of data or Wifi a day (turned off when not in use still), the battery will last about 40 hours. I never let it go this long, but that's how long it will go. This has allowed me to use the amazing smartphone features I wanted without worrying about the battery dying on me.
That being said, the battery does significantly alter the weight of the phone. I'm a guy with big hands so it doesn't matter to me, but my girlfriend says she could never use my phone. There are also no cases for this. I have a screen protector and don't tend to drop my phone, but if you do this could be an issue.
If you don't mind having no case and a slightly bulkier phone, I can unequivocally recommend this battery upgrade.
