By jason bacon Great case if you can find it with the right price. Worth every penny. Love it. Just enough rubber to grip, but won't get stuck on your pocket lining trying to take it out or put it away. Otterbox!

my evoJul 13, 2011
By Johnitha Simmons it's great, and I didn't have to pay $40 for it either. Protects my phone just fine, I've dropped it a few times and thanks to the otter box, no scratches or dents

Nice, but still has weak points...Oct 04, 2011
By ErichL Otterbox commuter series is basically the gel case with a hard plastic shell to keep it more firm. I really like the Defender case as it's rock solid!!! (unless you drop your phone on a rock screen down) Problem with Defender is it's just a bit oo bulky. Looks like I have a tablet PC hanging on my side. Biggest flaw I found in this case is the thin silcone strip on bottom of phone pops out easy. This is less likely to be a problem if your carrying your phone in a purse or loose pocket. I however keep mine in a belt clip holder and is still snug enough that it causes a headache from time to time. Igf your not sure, hit a local retailer and play with the various ones, then come home and order here! You'll save a ton!

Three FlawsNov 02, 2011
By Ken Here are three flaws that I'll seek to avoid in the future.
1) The flap on the bottom covering the power-port pops off too easily. I spend a lot of time trying to fit it back in to place. When I pull the phone from my pocket I've got to reattach the flap. It does not keep the dust/dirt out well because it is not often in place. It is also beginning to tear on the edges as a result. Other reviewers have made the same observations.
2) The sides are solid but the top is just the rubber inner-case. Instead of it sealing tightly around the top of the Evo there is a gap that has widened with time as it stretches. This results in dirt collecting there especially if you lug your phone around in your pocket and you do more than sit behind a desk for a living.
3) The case renders the kickstand completely useless in the vertical position and far less stable in the horizontal.
However, the OtterBox most certainly does protect the phone from impacts.

By cafe Love the way it protects my htc evo 4g, soft material but very sturdy and firm. It's got all my reccommendations.
