Best Case I've seen.Oct 10, 2011
By Preston R. Mills Not sure why so many of these reviews are so focused on the screen protector that is included with the case. No, it doesn't cover the full front of the phone. It still covers the actual screen perfectly, and it is nice quality and very clear so I put it on.
Anyways. This is an excellent case. It fits the phone very well and doesn't add a massive amount of bulk (like the Otterbox Defender). The phone still feels good in my hand. It also looks great on the phone as it is very clean looking. All buttons are still very responsive. All buttons/ports are very well protected yet still very accessible. In my opinion this case is lacking in no way and I can recommend it to anyone looking for a cross between a silicon and hard case, as this is the best of both worlds.

Excellent case!Dec 20, 2011
By J. Foust I have used Otterbox cases on past Droids, and I've had some generic cases as well.. The Otterboxes are by far the best cases I've owned. The phone fits nice and snug and you can tell it's well protected in the case without being overly bulky. There are plugs that cover the headphone, USB, and HDMI jacks, which is a good way to keep them clean. It also has little bumps for the power and volume buttons, so they're not recessed into the case like some generic cases I've used in the past. Two things you need to know going in, and I wouldn't consider them negatives:
1 - The included screen protector does just that - protects the screen. It does not cover the soft buttons at the bottom, nor does it wrap around the speaker and camera on top. If you want that, you'll need to look for another protector like the Zagg.
2 - You won't be able to use the Motorola docks with this case on. So if you have a dock, you'll have to pop the case on and off all the time. The case is actually two parts - an interior rubber liner and the exterior hard shell. Getting everything snapped in is really too much of a pain to constantly do, so you'll want to look at other car docks. The Moto dock is unusually expensive anyhow, so save a few bucks and get a generic one!

Excellent Case... Won't Fit Docking StationsSep 24, 2011
By Andrew J. Hughes I've always heard good things about Otterbox cases, so I thought I would give it a try. First impression is that the case is great. It fits the phone well and has a good feel and look to it. My only complaint is that you can't leave the phone in the case and use any of the Bionic docking stations (regular, HD, or vehicle). The port cover over the microUSB and HDMI prevents the phone from pushing down onto the connector, even if you remove only the polycarbonate cover. Taking the case on and off isn't fast enough to be practical either. I'm worried the silicon part would tear after must repetition. Kind of ruins the case for me since I use the docking stations a lot.

great first expereienceJan 05, 2012
By RobFedorafield when I started searching for a protective case for my droid bionic, I looked at the otter boxes, I had heard good things from friends / family that have owned their products and after extensive googing and youtubeing I decided to buy the commuter. it's not as bulky as the defender series, but for my use, that's a good thing. it's essentially a rubber insert with a hard plastic shell that covers the back and the sides of the phone. what I like best is that most of the phone case is hard plastic so it doesn't stick to pocket, papers, etc and doesn't get covered in dust and fuzz like a silicone case, but on each side of the one on the upper half, the rubber is exposed so you have a good grip on the phone while pulling it from your holster / pocket and while using it. another great feature is that it covers all the buttons and jacks to keep dust, dirt, etc out of them.

Solid CaseOct 01, 2011
By Daniel Musikantow Case is very well built and not too clunky. Fits the phone perfectly and has a nice clean look. Only issues are that you can't change out the battery easily (this case fits very snuggly and is hard to take off) and that it wont dock. But these drawbacks are to be expected from the case, they are not necessarily flaws.
