i like itOct 25, 2011
By Moustachio I've had the iPhone for about a week and a half now.. i did aLOT of case searching, and this is the one i ended up settling on. i had my phone unprotected up until yesterday. i'm just gonna list the things i liked with out the case and the things i like with it.
Naked iPhone -pretty display -slim, light, comfortable device -simple and beautiful design -nice smooth glass surface
i put on the case and screen protector (with running hot water just to be safe) -case has a tendency to peel off screen protector -it would be okay if the phone fell from a moderate height -i don't feel i have to baby the glass.
as for things i dislike about the case -case must be pulled apart to charge with most of the cables i have (including my car stereo) -i'm told sliding it apart weakens the hold between top and bottom -the phone went from perfect size to just a hair too big in my hand, and the corners are sharper than i'd like. -the screen protector has 2 bubbles and shows smudges 10x more than the iPhone glass
lets face it, if you're reading this, you wanna protect your iPhone.
mine is no longer as great as a naked iPhone, but that's unavoidable.
i like otterboxes because they ofter good protection in both silicone and hard plastic. this one is about as slim and protective as they get.
i didn't get the defender because of the bulk and the silicone wouldn't allow for it to slide into my pocket easily. i didn't get the commuter because although the protection is good, i wanted just a little bit more.
ta-da. otterbox reflex series. take your lifestyle and desires into account. this is pretty much the closest thing to perfect that is available for me. i like the bumpers a lot, but i like these "crumple zones" way more. they take the force of an impact and deflect it into the case and away from the phone. exactly as they're supposed to and exactly what you're buying a case for.

The worst Otterbox case I have purchasedSep 24, 2011
By G. Tyler My Otterbox Reflex iPhone 4 case lasted only 5 months before the rubber started to peel away in multiple places.
At first I was pretty happy with the case - it was a pretty good fit, easy to put on and off, perfect Army green color, and most importantly... it offers great protection if you drop the phone - especially on the corners.
The problem is that the rubber didn't last. Maybe it was a bad batch from a supplier, but it started shrinking is some areas and then just disentigrating it multiple places. I would never order this model or a similar case that has rubber pieces butting up against plastic areas.
I still love Otterbox products, but not this one! I ordered a Reflex model as a replacement. I have been very happy with my Defender series cases for my iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab. The commuter series for my wife's Droid Incredible has also held up great.
If you don't mind a large case, look at the Defender series. If you want something smaller, look at the Commuter series cases. Just stay away from the Reflex series cases.

Impressive caseSep 10, 2011
By rhunter I have to hand it to Otter box once again. They have come up with one heck of a case design. I know many people wonder "why would I pay so much for a case when there are so many cheaper options?" Well, in this instance you get what you pay for. This case combines what I love about the commuter and the defender case, and packages it up in something that is sleek and extremely useful. The most defining feature of this particular offering from Otter Box is the hybrid rubber and plastic design. It is built in such a way that if you drop your phone on its sides, the air-pocketed rubber crumple zones absorb the impact. The crazy thing is, it actually works. I have given my phone a couple of nasty drops, and the phone just keeps ticking. I also enjoy the fact that the case snaps apart for easy access to docking accessories that don't typically play nice with iPhone cases. It also has the rare bonus of actually being manufactured in the USA! Keep the cool stuff coming Otter Box.

I wanted to like it moreMay 08, 2011
By adripisces I love the look and size of this case, but the space for the earphones isn't large enough for the wire I have in my car. So I have to take off the top part when I'm driving to listen to music. After sliding it on and off a few times it eventually pealed off the screen protector and even after replacing the screen protector it still does it. I wouldn't buy this case unless you don't use earphones other than the ones that comes with the iPhone. I really do like the way it looks and it seems sturdy, but it's kind of useless because I take it off so often and don't always put it back on.

My wife got this for her new iphone4. Dropped it on the corner with the case installed and the glass cracked. The defender I have is awesome, this one sucks.
