 Good solution to the Otterbox Defender case on the Motorola Atrix 4GSep 25, 2011

The audio jack hole in the Otterbox Defender case for the Motorola Atrix 4G is too narrow for most plugs. This cable is a good solution. It fits securely, and it is short enough to conveniently tuck away in a pocket or purse.

Solidly constructed cable. Very narrow 4 position 3.5mm (1/8") TRRS connector end, which fits snugly into the iPhone receptacle even with a thicker protective iPhone case.
Note that the female end is only a 3 position 3.5mm (1/8") which breaks out the iPhone headphone output signals: left output, right output, ground. It does NOT bring out the external microphone input signal.
If you need a way to break out the iPhone headphone outputs and do NOT NEED connection for the external microphone, this extension adapter is cheap and solid. Recommended.

Like most people, I couldn't hook up my iPod in my car because of the case. This adapter works great and is very slim so it will fit in any case that you may have. You cannot go wrong with this product!

I'm not sure how long this worked for...my girlfriend noticed that when she pushed the connection slightly, the bass would suddenly get richer....tested on a Nano and an iPhone 4S. Disappointing but it's a super-cheap cable so....
I missed the Amazon claim window by 2 weeks but Eforcity only covers this for 30 days. Where other companies would send out a replacement, no questions asked, this company does not. Buyer beware.
NOTE: the connector did fit into the iPhone even with the case on, which was why I purchased it to begin with.
