After reading reviews for similar screens I was concerned that the touch screen functionality would be compromised. This screen allows you to navigate as normal and it allows the use of the bottom buttons unlike some other privacy screens. I am very pleased with this item. Application was easy, and I have a protector and privacy screen that allows me to use my phone they way it was meant to be used. Like others have said, there is NOT a hole for the front camera, but to me that doesnt matter since the front camera sucks. If you care about the functionality of your front camera then this item isn't for you.

"love shopping"
As I mentioned before when i received this product the first thing I wanted to do was protect it so got a cover now I needed something to protect the screen because it is large in size you want to protect every inch of this phone and still be able to enjoy it without having prying eyes. So this was a fantastic idea, my brother has one for the Hero but you can see it from the sides but blurry; with this one you CAN NOT SEE ANYTHING FROM THE SIDES!!! Which is great and it goes on smoothly and it is not so thick, it kinda has a iphone like finish if you know what I mean. Now the reason that I gave it four stars and not five stars is due to the fact that it does not have a hole for the front facing camera which is the whole point of having a screen to protect it is also being able to take pics with that camera too. Now I was able to get around it because my uncle has a machine that punches holes in belts and was able to use the smallest size to punch a tiny hole in the plastic which came out perfectly so now I am very happy but I really do wish that they would make these screens with the hole built in so as not to go through the hassle...

After having used this screen protector for a while now I have given it 5 stars! First because it has done such a great job of protecting my screen that I am going to order more. Its true the front camera doesn't work that well so I have never really used it that much. But the fact that it looks black from the sides has helped me a great deal and everyone complements me on how great it is. I have purchase other screen protectors instead of this one and they really suck. Its received all the scratches and blows and my screen is perfectly fine in great condition and could easily sell the phone due to the pristine look of it... Amazing product

Had this on my EVO for 2 days and took it off. Made the display too dim even when looking directly at the phone. If you have the phone upright, it works as it claims and makes it difficult to see the screen at an angle. It doesnt work when you have the phone turned like you would if you were texting. Save your money and invest in a better protector.

It does block the view from the sides and does increase privacy. If you are a member of some clandestine organization,the federal government, or clinically paranoid this is the screen protector for you! If you are fairly "normal" , use your phone for games, movies, reading, texting, video calls or any of the normal functions everyday people use their phone for; then pass on this. I can say anything truly negative about it, except it isn't for everyday use by everyday "normal" people. However, it gets one star for the loss of screen resolution, and the fact that it is not cut to fit the screen of the EVO 4G.

Coming out of the package I though this was WAY too thick. As soon as I slapped it on I was wrong. Other screens apparently prevent the bottom 4 touch buttons from working. I didn't have any problems using the buttons. The cut of the screen is pretty good and covers the entire front screen instead of just the center touchscreen. The screen has a film reel or film negtive feel to it and not as slippery as the bare screen. It doesn't have a sticky feel like the invisibleShields. Thickness might pose a problem for the front facing camera but I don't even use it.
Instillation was a breeze. There are only two parts, the actual screen and the plastic film over the sticky part. The screen doesn't have another film that you remove when the sticky part attaches to the screen. The sticky part lifts up easy if the alignment is off, this also means long term stickiness might be questionable. It did catch when I put my case on it. The screen is also rigid so when attaching slowly very few bubbles do appear but you can always lift up slightly and reapply.
The only problem is people just over your shoulder can see your screen if directly facing the phone. Even standing 6 ft away looking directly at the screen the phone isn't private. Viewing angles from the side are a little better since everything gets "fuzzy". Tilting the phone as you view up and down still makes it clear, but when your turn it left and right it will darken. As far as a screen protector, I feel it is good since it is thick.
Since it is a privacy screen guard your screen image won't be as bright using the same settings as a bare phone. Its thickness might affect some Evo 4G cases but for me it provided a tighter seal where the edge of the case overlaps on top of my front screen.
