Great Product and Very Useful--and the Shipping Was Good, Too!Jun 04, 2011
By Thomas A. Swilling Arrived 2 days after placing the order, works great, and at a fraction of the price that Samsung is asking.
If you need a data cable for your Samsung SGH-T401G or SGH-T255G phone , to transfer graphics and music or simply to use as a charger, then I recommend it.
One tip that will save some hassle and frustration: When using the cable to transfer data from your computer to your phone, follow the following procedure before connecting the phone to the cable:
Click "Menu" Click "Settings" Click "Phone Settings" Click "USB Mode" Click "Mass Storage Click "Save" Exit Menu
On another note, the phone will be recharging the entire time you are transferring data (music, photos, videos).

Works with Samsung T401Sep 18, 2010

I have a Samsung T401 phone - on Net 10. The phone has very good reception, nice features, great keyboard and has held up - but this review is not about that.
With this cable - much less expensive than the 'official' cable - I connected to my PC - first time. So there it is - the cable will connect a Samsung T401 phone to your computer. You need to have your stuff on the phone on a card ... you cannot read the internal memory. (Search for T401 for more on this phone). This has nothing to do with this cable though - which again - does make the connection. Connection problem solved. 5star.

Does what it do...May 04, 2010

Pretty simple really. You plug it into your phone, mine is a Samsung Solstice SGH-A887, and you can upload content. Not much to go wrong....unless you picked the wrong cable I guess. But the reason this gets full stars was the insanely low price and speed in which it was delivered. I was looking online elsewhere, including Samsung's website, and this was by far the cheapest. Like almost 90% cheaper. Good job guys in realizing it's just a damn cable. LOL So now I'm uploading all the 'totally inappropriate at work' text alert ringtones I want...

Data cable for Samsung Gravity 2 cell phoneApr 23, 2010
By C. Lee This cable works just fine. It is much cheaper than the one from Samsung. If I have a flash memory card in my phone, I should be able to transfer data across the phone and a PC with this cable only. Since I don't, I have to download the Samsung New PC Studio to work with the cable. However, this software driver only works with Windows XP or older Windows OS.

Excellent value for the price - transfers data and chargesJan 15, 2012

I bought this cable mainly to transfer photos to and from a Tracfone SGH-T404G. To make this work you need to insert a micro SD card and change a couple of settings on the phone. Go to Settings - Phone Settings - USB Mode and change from Modem to Mass Storage. With the original setting of "Modem" windows could not find a driver for the device. After changing to "Mass Storage" and reconnecting, Windows Vista found a driver immediately and I was able to see the micro SD card contents.
You also need to change Camera - General Settings - Default Storage to Memory card. You can only access the micro SD card from your computer, not the internal phone memory. If I transfer photos to the phone it only seems to be able to display them if the photo is no more than 1600 x 1200 pixels.
The phone also indicates that it is charging while connected to the computer. Again, great value for the price!
