 What they don't tell you in the fine printDec 18, 2011

The product is light weight and beautiful but I cannot tell you how well it works because I never was able to get that far.
This product is advertised as being unlocked. This means that theoretically you can go to any cell vendor and buy a sim card for it. What they don't you is that the product will only take a "3g only" card but the vendors (AT&T at least) are selling 4g cards that also handle 3g. So when we put the card into the galaxy, the tab could see the network but it couldn't access the internet.
The AT&T store was very nice and tried work arounds for an hour to no avail. Finally I had to return the product to Amazon (wonderful Amazon makes returning products a cinch) and buying an 8.9 inch version that takes 4g instead. That really bummed me out because I wanted the 10.1 inch screen.
Besides the 3g issue otherwise the product was in good shape. Buying a wifi only version might work out OK. However before you order this product, be sure to check with your wireless company to make sure that you can get a compatible sim card.

After debating for so long on whether or not I would get this tab with just 16GB I'm so glad I decided to make the purchase! I am very please with this tablet. It works on the same scale as my Galaxy phone(which I love). I've had it for a month now and so far no problems with the tab at all. The screen looks great...no slick/oily spots as some have reported(so far). The quality of the screen-pictures and video look absolutely amazing. Speaking of pictures, this thing takes some of great pictures which is always the case with Samsung. Before anyone gets upset, I like the iPad just as much but I'm use to using android type of systems so I stuck with it and bought the iPad for my boyfriend :0) Oh and one more thing, if you purchase this particular unlocked tab please be aware that it'll be the international version. It may arrive in a foreign language with a foreign owner's manual. Don't let the fact that it's an international product scare you off...it only took me 10 seconds to figure out how to change the language and you can find an English manual for the book online.

Nice tablet compatibly with ipad, light weight, easy to view with many apps already installed, shipping was fast.
Did run into a minor problem with a foreign language instruction booklet and a foreign wall charger adapter, upon pushing buttons here & there I got a foreign language to appear on the screen. Called WorldWide Distributors which supplies Amazon.com this Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 which were helpful & courteous which gave me a Samsung support telephone number. Upon a four minute wait a very helpful foreign lady from Samsung support said I had an international tablet with Chinese language and instructed me to a scroll down a foreign menu until I came to the word "English". I have heard horror stories about support help but was satisfied with help from both companies with this problem.

I had read reviews that the international version (i.e. P7500) came in foreign languages, but since I speak 5, I said "no problem"!
But mine came in Polish, which is not among them!
So when I turned my Galaxy on, it started to ask me all these setup questions in Polish...
I don't know if I agreed to give them my first born son or not, but it finally stopped with the questions and showed a desktop, similar to the one I am familiar with from the iPad.
I could not find an icon that looked like "Setup" in any of the pages.
So I clicked around, and found that by clicking a small icon on the top right that had a few squares, I was able to bring up a whole more icons to the screen. Among them was one looking like a gear.
I clicked it and scrolled to find an icon with an "A" in it.
When I clicked it, it showed a list of languages (I could tell it was the place to select the language because it had Polish selected (I forgot how to say Polish in Polish, but it was kinda obvious...:)
I selected English, and suddenly no more gobbledygook! :)
As far as the Galaxy, I have just used it for a few minutes and my complain so far is that sometimes you tap a button on the screen and nothing happens - is it because it is too slow?
Addition to the first review: the Galaxy turned itself off after a few hours of use and now it is dead as a doornail!
I have found a place to fix it here in Brazil, but have not had time to take it in yet.
