2Fails the Noisy Street test - Not RecommendedNov 16, 2011
By Pavahotti
Basically any Bluetooth headset will sound good in a quiet room when close to the phone. The true test of a Bluetooth headset is how it performs walking down a busy city street. Can you hear the other person? Perhaps more importantly, can the other person hear you? How does it deal with wind? Can you carry on a conversation without shouting and straining to hear? Does the other party get upset with the voice quality, and continually ask you to repeat yourself?

This headset fails all of the above tests. Sure, it sounds fine when you are trying to make phone calls in a sealed, noiseless environment. But when put to the test against crowd noise, traffic noise, foot noise, and wind, it just doesn't meet expectations.

I have used several Bluetooth headsets in the past, and all of them have exceeded this headset's abilities. My Jawbone was fantastic at noise cancellation, as expected. The Plantronics was an MVP, performing admirably in all of the major tasks. Even my Jabra headset handled things better than I would have expected.

So yes, I have high expectations. And the Samsung just didn't meet them. I cannot maintain a comfortable conversation with somebody while walking down the street. Indeed, I find myself turning the headset off and simply using the phone itself - much to the delight of my conversation partners on the other end of the line. General rule of thumb: if you continually feel compelled to turn the headset off and use the phone, the headset is a failure.

Moreover, it is fairly crackly when on the opposite side of the body as the phone - when in my right ear, with the phone in my left suit pocket, it gives me lots of pops. Worse, it loses its connection to the phone on a regular basis. None of my other headsets have struggled to maintain their connections; this Samsung drops it all the time. If I have to go through menus and settings to repair the device almost every time I want to use it, it is basically worthless to me.

The only real positive is that the stereo headphones sound pretty good. The in-ear style earbuds provide a nice resonant bass when fully inserted. And it is nice to be able to listen to music on my iPhone without a tangle of cords getting in the way.

But as a device to help you handle phone calls, I simply cannot recommend it.

4Great sound quality and comfortable to wearSep 22, 2011
By jerseygirldownsouth "jerseygirldownsouth"
This device has now supplanted the other Bluetooth wireless headset I'd been using.

One of the first things I realized was how much better the tone/quality was when I was listening to people speak. It was clear, and the volume control worked perfectly in setting the right level - some people spoke more softly than others, so it was easy to adjust the volume for each.

In addition, I have found this headset to be very comfortable to wear, even for extended periods. The over-ear hook held it secure without biting into my ear. Importantly, the part that sits in my ear is not overly large, and therefore comfortable as well.

Though I haven't used it much, the stereo earbud option is a great addition. I have used it when I was on a few conference calls and needed to listen more carefully. It enhanced the experience.

Also worth noting - setting this up and pairing it with my cell phone was very simple and straightforward.

This is the 3rd brand of Bluetooth wireless headset I've used, and I can honestly say it's my favorite so far.

3You are now free to move about the roomOct 30, 2011

I already had a Plantronics bluetooth earpiece and often thought "it would be neat to have a stereo bluetooth headset for music, I wonder if they make those?" And it turns out, they do.

The real advantage of this is the ability to leave your phone on the charger while you listen to music on the headset -- you don't have to be tethered to a wall socket. I say "the room" because the range is only about 30 feet, so you won't be wandering all around your house and yard, but you can certainly meander around a hotel room or your living room/kitchen, listening to music while your phone charges.

Although it comes with stereo headphones, you don't need to use theirs if you don't want to -- it takes a standard plug so any regular headphones will work.

The one big detraction, though, and why I can't really give it more than 3 stars overall, is its tendency to disconnect. I never have this problem with my Plantronics, so I don't think it's me, and I've never had it disconnect in the middle of a call, but every time I go to use it, it has disconnected itself for no apparent reason and I have to switch it off and back on, and sometimes that doesn't work -- it'll say "Connected!" and then immediately "Disconnected" and I have to cycle it again.

So will I use it as a bluetooth earpiece for the phone? Not really, no. It's just never ready and connected when I need it to be. But I have no complaints about it as a stereo headset for music.

4Works Great For MeSep 21, 2011
By Kent J. Smythe
I got the Samsung Bluetooth Headset because of the Android Technology and the Samsung name, which has always meant good quality to me.

I had read a couple reviews that made me wonder about this headset's audio quality, but I have had NO problems,in fact the sound is pretty decent.

I've always made fun of guys that I've seen running around with one of these sticking out of their ear but after a couple days of needing to stay connected without lugging around a bunch of stuff,I have seen the light.

I love the voice command feature, just using a simple command and doing what I need to do, brilliant!

Overall I found this to be a great deal, the price is so good and the features are outstanding,I'm very happy with this.

2Static-filled device.Oct 26, 2011
By M-Lo "M to tha Lo"
As a fan of Samsung products, I felt compelled to give their bluetooth device a try. And one word sums up the device static. While I think its definitely creative for samsung to allow you to use the device as a pair of bluetooth earbud headphones via plug, the device itself was nothing short of a static filled experience. The device is simple to use but fails to deliver a good user experience. I almost felt like it was the 80's and we were on an old CB radio - full of static. Now mind you I paired this devoce with an iPhone and not a droid or samsung product. My hope is that the phone itself should make no difference...

Overall 2/5 stars for creativity in connections/ ear options.
