Works Great, Better to be OfficialNov 09, 2011
By Luke Great price! Cheaper than buying directly from Samsung. Cable looks great and matches the phone nicely (att GS2). For anyone wondering WIFI and data works perfectly while plugged in. Some people had issues with third party MHL cables. Also you have to have it powered by the power supply that came with the phone. I tried plugging the data cable into a nearby ROKU player's usb port. It showed the phone was charging, however HDMI was not being outputted.

Works with Galaxy S2Nov 28, 2011
By Moon-tai Yeung Adapter works with a T-Mobile Galaxy S2. It has Samsung logo and the instruction says "Made in Korea". It must be used with a charger plugged into the side of the adapter; otherwise, the adapter does nothing. After connecting everything together, both the phone and TV (or monitor) will display at the same time. It is not just for playing movies, other screens are displayed as well (e.g., Angry Birds). When playing a video, only the content is shown on the TV, the controls (play, pause, ...) are only shown on the phone. Also, aspect ratio or orientation of the video on the phone does not affect that on the TV.
My only problem is with random HDMI signal loss - the phone's display appears fine but the TV would say "no signal" and then come back within a few seconds. It seems to be TV dependent. An older TV would lose signal quite often. With a newer TV, it only happens a few times per hour. It is probably my phone (maybe OS) and not the adapter's fault.
Finally, please shop around for prices. I was happy with the Amazon price until I saw it for $15 shipped elsewhere.

Works great and looks awesomeNov 13, 2011
By TheRoot I bought this a little hesitant since there were cheaper options but since it's Samsung I decided to get it and I am happy I did. It works flawlessly and the streaming quality is great on the SGSII Epic 4G Touch. Definitely beats buying the more expensive option (for the same item) from the Samsung website and as always Amazon was quick to ship this item.

Instructions for how to use this with the phoneApr 10, 2012

Initially, I was wondering if I had been sold a defective part. Eventually, I figured out that it would work 100% of the time if I did things in the following order: 1) Connect power to MHL cable, connect HDMI cable between TV and adapter, turn on TV and set input to HDMI in any order 2) Connect cell phone to adapter last.
