I purchased this battery to save money (cheaper than going to the Verizon store.) It is the correct battery model number for the phone I own, but when installed into my phone, I received a msg. stating that the battery was not the correct battery....and that the phone would not support this battery. The only difference in my original battery and the one I ordered was the battery color. Should work I would think, but does not.
I kept the battery rather than sending it back as it would cost me more to return it than I paid for it.
I would not recommend purchasing one.

The product was fine, price was fine, shipping was sure and swift, but the e-mail support was downright hostile! A simply stated inquiry was dodged and replied to in vague terms. Responding to that and pointing out the simple question had not been addressed, I received a reply to the effect of why don't I shove it! I will shove this vendor in the future.

All rechargeable batteries degrade over time; holding a diminished charge for a briefer period.
Having 3 Samsung cell phones in the family makes it easy to maintain them all.
We keep at least one battery ready to go, thus avoiding the need to wait for a phone to charge; just slip in a fresh battery and go on about your business.
These replacements are (so far) at least as good as the originals and the convenience of having them available (I have an older phone that I use for charging) makes this a no-brainer investment.

I ordered this battery because I have an older phone and didn't know how much longer I was going to keep it. So I didn't want to invest full price in a new battery. It appears to be the right battery but will not hold a charge more than ONE day, even if I don't make many calls. I suspect this has been recycled and the distributor simply sends them back out at a cheap price. This is the only product I have ever purchased through Amazon in which I have been seriously disappointed. If I could rate this less than 1 star, I would.

I purchased this because my battery was only lasting about 2 days, but when my phone was new the battery lasted at least 7 days. This new one only lasts about 4 days, and same for the one I bought for my wife's phone. It seems to me they aren't really new, but maybe recycled. What to you expect for $5?
