 Nice Looking Case - Protects the phone well...Nov 19, 2010

This is a very "sexy" case for the HTC Evo. I bought the Black-on-Black one, and it has a nice look. Truth is, I just got my Evo about 2 weeks ago, and so far I've bought 2 cases for it (I plan to buy a couple more for testing)... and this is one of the cases I purchased.
PRO's:
- Nice Fit & Finish... feels like good material.
- Protection: Corners are well protected & Silicon Layer protects the whole phone.
- Very Nice looking... lot's of compliments already.
- Cover is just thick enough to protect the camera lens, but not too thick overall.
- Feels great in your hand, and the raised "buttons" for power/volume work well.
CON's:
- Only 1 really, and this is my main pet-peeve about silicon covers in general: I hate when a cover feels loose around the edges. The corners obviously feel fine because of the hard-plastic "Fishbone" piece that clips over the silicon. BUT, the Top, Bottom, and sides are looser than I'd prefer. If they would have designed a few more of the "splines" to cover the top & bottom, as well as another for the sides, I would've given this cover 5-STARS.
Some people who like silicon covers may not mind that, but that's the main reason why I won't use "JUST" a silicon cover... drives me nuts.
But, overall, this is a good cover that I feel will protect the phone well and it looks very nice. I checked out the SEIDIO Active case at BestBuy, which is basically the same case as this... and I think this one fits & looks much nicer and isn't as bulky.
I'm also planning on trying the OtterBox Commuter series cover, as it is also a 2-piece design.

This is a super case, fits perfect. Great looking design, my 6 year old son calls my evo the Batman phone now. Provides more protection than a cheap hard shell or rubber skin. I have owned a couple of otterboxes in the past few years. This case is just as good, for a lot less money. It doesn't make the phone bulky, good size. I am surprised it costed so little.

EVO 4G has a major design flaw for its camera. The camera lens protrudes out so it can easily be scratched or damaged if you simply set the phone down on any hard surface. The fishbone cover is just thick enough to protect the camera lens from physically touching the surface when you set the phone down. All the buttons work properly, kickstand works fine, speaker is not covered, and microphone as well as mini usb and hdmi ports are easily accessible. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it can feel little too rubbery around the edge of the screen, and it's also a dust magnet.

I'm very satisfied with the purchase of this case. The design is very slick looking and the fit is nice and secure. Its not bulky looking at all and I've gotten alot of compliments.

I love my EVO 4G, even though I don't use it much as a phone anymore. The EVO, to me since I am a die hard Sprint customer, was like the first phone that I can say "Hey Apple, Check this out, I have something that kicked, I meant it literally since it does have a cool kickstand, Iphone on its behind and your Iphone can't catch up to it to fight back". With me being so in love with that phone, kept me up more sleepless nights than even my Wife, LoL, I pretty much baby that thing and had purchased everything from a bulky Otter Box to keep it nice and safe to those silly wimpy silly cases just because they look great at the time. With all my choices, I always had some sort of an excuse not to 100% love those cases until I met this one.
Pros:
1- Cheap but do not feel so cheap. holding the phone when cover with this case, it does not feel cheap at all
2- Feel secured. I hadn't drop my phone yet since I bought it almost 2 years ago, and not planning on doing it anytime soon, but holding this phone in my hand somewhat made me feel that even if I drop it, my baby would be fine and I still can happily Flash another ROMs soon. If you had never rooted a phone and apply custom ROMs, please don't do it. your significant others would hate you for the reason that you are now addicted to something else almost as much as you are addicted to them.
3- Looks so cool. not sure if this would be apply to all but for some reason this stupid fish bone on the back really appeal to me, could be because I love to eat.
4- not too Bulky but thick enough that it would cover the one flaw that I wished HTC didn't made on my beloved EVO, the camera on the back. I no longer afraid to place the phone bottom down on a table anymore knowing the camera is not touching that surface.
Cons:
1 - only a tiny one, not much of a Con really, the fish bone doesn't really go over the 4 corners perfectly.
If you have an EVO and wanted to purchase a case to protect it or to showcase it, Buy this. you cannot do wrong here.
