 Perfect for Samsung Exhibit II alsoNov 20, 2011

I have to say that my expectations were low for this case. But after snapping my Exhibit II into it, I couldn't be happier. The case is a one piece design similar to a silicon case, only stiffer. It's not quite as slip resistant as silicon, but not nearly as slippery as plastic. I don't know how "sensual" it is, but for its price, it's a great buy.
The phone simply snaps into place, and the case fits literally like a skin. It's very thin, and the sides don't wrap too far toward the screen, nor protrude above it where other cases can interfere with typing. They call it "Smoke Black" but after installing, it looks more like a silvery gray. You can see the T-Mobile and Samsung writing through it and holes are cut in all the right places for speaker, camera, etc.
The thing I like best is from certain angles it gives the look of an aluminum bezel surrounding the display making it look like some of the more expensive higher end phones.
There aren't many options for cases for the Exhibit II yet, but who cares? I can't see a lot of improvement on the one I have right now.
UPDATE: The case is still good, but I have to point out the price on this item has gone up TWICE since I purchased it for $5. First to $9.00, and now $13.00?! I guess this is what happens when you give reviews that are too positive. Maybe if it got three stars, the people buying now wouldn't be getting stuck with higher and higher prices. I understand how supply and demand works, but this feels like greed.

Great case, fits wellNov 21, 2011

I purchased this when there were no reviews yet, deciding to take a chance on it. It was a good gamble. It fits well, is easy to put on, not difficult to remove, and does not come off by itself easily.
It provides a little extra grip, but the surfaces are smooth and glossy, so doesn't provide as much grip as a silicone skin. On the other hand, it is not a lint magnet either.
There are openings for the USB + headset, speaker, lens + flash, and microphone (bottom). The volume rocker and power button is sealed off, but there's a protrusion in the case, and they have a rough texture. I like them - they make it harder to accidentally press the buttons, and easy enough to feel for by touch.
The case weighs 17 grams (0.6 oz). Almost exactly the weight of 3 quarters. My phone (with battery and a micro SD card installed) weighs 118 grams. So it adds about 15% of weight to the phone, which makes it feels more hefty (in a good way). It does make it thicker though, so the phone is no longer as sleek looking.
I had a surprise when I opened up the package. I expected a black opaque latex skin like the photo shows. Instead, it is what the "Qubits package" photo shows. It's smoke (dark grey) and translucent. You can just barely make out "T-Mobile" and "Samsung" on the back cover. I actually prefer what I received to what I expected, but in case you were expecting jet black opaque, you may want to look elsewhere.
TPU = thermoplastic polyurethane. There's a wikipedia article extolling its virtues in case anyone is curious.
5 star rating is given on the functionality of the case, rather hard to rate it on value when price fluctuates so much. I think I have my $8 worth though. My only concern now is how well it will hold up over time. If I encounter any issues within a few months, I'll update this review.
Update : yikes, the price has gone up very significantly since I purchased mine. I don't think it is a 5 star product at the current $15 price - I'd have looked for a less expensive alternative.
Update 2 : looks like price has dropped back down again.

This is by far one of the best cases for this phone. It fits perfectly. Though one thing that absolutely annoys the hell out of me is where the volume control and power buttons are. Why are they covered? The case makes it very difficult to press the buttons, and I'm almost getting to the point of cutting that part of the case out. other than that, great case for a great phone.

Overall an excellent case for a very reasonable price.
Pros:
The Samsung Exhibit II is a great phone but it is very slim and felt like it could easily slip out of my hand and I didn't want to drop it on a hard floor. This case provides a bit more thickness and a lot more grip, not to mention the added protection in case of an accidental drop. It is unobtrusive and fits very well without being too difficult to remove or install. The colour of the case matches the phone nicely as well.
Cons:
I would rate this case a full five stars except for the fact that it seems to reduce the volume of the speaker when the phone is used in speaker-phone mode. The phone seems to have the speaker in the rear of the phone but that part is fully covered by this case so the output volume is somewhat reduced. I have thought about punching a number of small holes in the rear of the case but haven't tried that yet.
