Great product from Wilson, as usual.Mar 22, 2010
By Barthbill This thing allows me to get phone and internet service where others get none. It has to be aimed, but that is pretty quick if you have an idea of where the tower is.

Signal gainFeb 08, 2011
By Brock I have a metal roof. Little or no signal prior to installation. Tower is 8.8 miles with rolling terrain between. 1 bar signal outside, now have full signal strength inside. Great product.

Antenna ehancement of cellular wirelessJul 13, 2011

Purchased at Amazon.com This antenna is working great for me. Typically I was getting the signal from the cellular tower at about -100 dbi, but connecting up the antenna and sitting it in a drawer on my desk signal levels improved to -90 dbi. The tower signal does seem to fluctuate over time. As I write this it is -88dbi. This is pointing through a wall in my house. My receive rate is up to about 1.3 Mbps. I have yet to mount the antenna outside on a mast, but plan to use an old satellite TV mast on the house. Tips: I used a USB extension cable to move my USB Verizon plug in close to a short adapter cable ( which I usually use to connect to an omni-directional antenna when travelling in my RV trailer). I picked up a type N to FME adapter at Radio Shack but you can purchase one from Amazon. I set my VZAcess manager to "minimum" (View menu), parked my mouse over the antenna strength indicator then moved the antenna around (very slowly) to find the strongest signal. Remember since the RSSI signal is negative a smaller number indicates a stronger signal. Keep the antenna vertical(drip hole on the bottom). When you use a coaxial cable be sure and use one with a 50 ohm impedance, not the 75 ohm used by the television folks. Pick a location to mount the antenna which requires the shortest run of coaxial cable that is reasonable with your other requirements. Do use the USB extension cable to reduce your run of Co-ax.

Needed an adapterJan 28, 2011

This comes with an "N" type connector which is not compatible with the Wilson signal booster. So the adapter kit is needed. It was annoying it was needed, and everything didn't have the same connector type. That said, it works well.

works great so farApr 09, 2010
By P. Miller My USB760 was operating around 90 - 95 DBI. I connected the antenna, located the nearest tower, and it is now operating at 73 - 77 DBI consistantly. The antenna is just mounted inside next to my desk right now. I am hoping that once I mount it outside permanently it will do a little better.
