GREAT product.Nov 22, 2010
By Jonathen M. This amplifier just plain works. I live in an area with no service within 10 miles of my house and I am now able to get 2-3 bars all around the area where I live with this amplifier. All areas where I had a weak signal are now showing 4-5 bars. Also, it potentially saved someones life as I saw a bad car accident this morning in an area with no service and was able to call 911 because of this product.
At this price you can't afford not to have this in your car for safety when traveling through areas with no service.
I have Verizon Wireless service and live in rural WV. I have not thoroughly tested it with any other carriers but I'm sure it will work as advertised with AT&T and others.

Great product!Jan 06, 2011

Hi, Amy's hubby here, we live in a fringe area in a large Rocky Mountain valley, lots of big hills and mountains. None of the cellular suppliers do a very good job of reaching our place, and even in the most favorable weather conditions reception is very marginal. However, we have a bay window in our living room that receives one bar most of the time, which avoids having to use the 1X signal which drains batteries quickly and drops calls frequently.
I bought this unit over the larger Wilson repeaters for two reasons. First, I really didn't want to spend a large amount because we don't spend that much time on the phone. But..having dropped our landline last summer, our cells became our primary phones. Secondly, there is just enough bad press about SAR emissions that I was hesitant about having a large emitter going 24/7 in our house. Maybe an unjustifiable reason, but the relatively short distance and power at which this unit operates was more what I had in mind. We both use our Bluetooths almost exclusively, so it's design was fine - we just keep one cell docked and use it.
Pros -
A snap to set up and get in operation, once I had ordered a couple more things (see Cons).
Great performance! Got 4+ bars TX and 3 of EV, as good as anywhere in the valley or mountains here. I'm sure the performance in the car would be as good.
Plenty of power/antenna cord to allow mounting options in home and car.
Cradle was a bit sticky to set and release phone, but hey, it's new, a small shot of graphite powder and a little use and it'll be fine.
The amplification influence actually seems to extend a bit further than the 3'-5' advertised. One room away used to be a no-go, now we get maybe 1 bar..enough to talk briefly if needed.
Cons -
Essentially, you get everything you need to set up in an auto, BUT..if you do a home installation, you'll likely need a part Amazon doesn't offer, the Wilson 901128 Window Mount, a small suction cup bracket that affixes to any glass or smooth surface. It affords a metal surface to mount the antenna without drilling. I was initially going to fabricate a bracket, but opted for this as it can be moved and is relatively inexpensive on several websites - around 8 or 10 bucks. If you don't want to use one of the auto type mounts included with the kit, I suggest purchasing a Wilson 901120 gooseneck suction cup mount, about $11 on this website. It extends out from the mounting surface a foot or more and can twist and bend for about any viewing angle, will allow clearance to tables, chairs, etc. that might be sitting close. I'm thinking it would be prudent for Wilson to include the antenna bracket with the kit..seems like a logical inclusion for a setup sold as 'auto or home'.
Only reason I didn't give it five stars is the omission of the bracket.
Wilson has a rep for being one of the best in the business, I would expect no less from this unit. If you are in a spot where the small desktop units are not good enough, or need something that will go from home to car for a trip, this works very well.

Used with HTC T- Pro 2... liked enough 2 buy anotherJun 26, 2010

My wife and I are currently using T_mobile, also tested the unit with a friend's verizon phone, worked really well for both. Found instant increase of 1-2 bars when powering on the unit. It was able to hold a call in our dreaded dead zone, and we had no more dropped calls in our usual sketchy areas. Calls also seemed clearer less pops and issues with static. The download speed was noticeably faster when loading web pages. We liked it enough we bought a second one for the other vehicle so we can make the installs permanent. The unit does easily change from vehicle to vehicle but for us it was a matter of fighting over one unit for 2 people. The install is basiclt plug the holder to the power unit, the power unit to the antenna, and the power unit to the 12v power((lighter socket)). The antenna has a soft magnetic base so as not to scratch and the cable can be popped thru a window or moon roof. The also sell thru the glass antennas for more perm installs.

I often work in areas that have limited or no cell signal and a cell phone and email are the only means of communication. This Wilson booster is currently providing a full signal, where without it, I would be unable to use my phone.
Great product and definately worth every penny I paid.

Makes cellphone go from ZERO to HEROMar 18, 2011
By D. Smith

I spend most of the time traveling to remote locations with my job (oilfield), so cellphone service is usually sporadic at best. After installing the SignalBoost in my truck I drove to a known dead zone where there is zero to 1 bars of signal on my ATT Samsung Jack. I then powered up the SignalBoost device and within 5 seconds my signal went from 1 bar to 5 bars (full service)! I drove back home and had a full 5 bars the whole way, normally I get between 1-2 bars in this area and always get dropped calls. I called my dad and we talked the whole way back home with no dropped calls, static or garbled sounds. So far I've driven over 400 miles across the state and have not had any dropped calls or the "No Service" icon on my phone. When tethered to my laptop I've noticed the data rate is not only faster, but more consistent since my signal is now consistent with the SignalBoost. I would recommend this product to anyone needing to boost their cell reception.
