I love this product. I purchased it--and the xShot extender--because I travel solo quite a bit, and I blog. I was tired of my photos never including me, and this was the perfect solution. In addition to the case being very user friendly--meaning I can click the extender on and off in seconds--the case itself is great. Prior to purchasing it, my iPhone 4 had been naked for several months--no protector sheet, no case--nothing. I now use this case as my every day case. The tiny little bumped-out area created by the attachment portion of the case is hardly noticeable--if anything, it helps me tell my iPhone apart from my husband's, which is also in a black case. The attachment area at the bottom--for use in portrait mode--isn't noticeable in any way. I can easily charge the phone and use the headset port without needing to remove the case (I've not removed the case since I purchased it, in fact.) Basically, this is the best of both worlds--a great case AND a case with a function. Used in combination with the xShot extender, this is possibly my favorite (and most useful) purchase I've made in a while.

I like the case a lot. It works well to protect the phone and it performs it's function to connect to a tripod. I use it in my classes to record group discussions and it works well.
Pros: Solid case, feels and looks good
Cons: A bit of a tight fit. So tight that it makes my screen protector bubble up at the corners.
Wish they could engineer a way so that the adapter used for the tripod mount could be kept on the phone without making it bulky.

This was worth the wait. (it was delayed a bit in manufacturing) The design is just awesome, and even improved from the original concept on their website. The case itself is a plastic shell that completely covers the back of the iphone 4 with a slightly rubberized exterior which I really really like. (my old case was the same basic design, so that was a nice feature I was happy to keep). The tripod mount (THEY GIVE YOU TWO OF THEM!) is genius because it's detachable, so when you're not using it, there's just a modest bump in the corner of the case to accommodate it(see photos). BUT it gets better - they also made room for a second place to attach the tripod mount (in case you want to mount it upright - for facetime, etc), which is cleverly hidden by just a slightly elongated bottom, very nicely done. Although - and this is my only complaint - on the upright mount, when it's installed, it's just a little bit loose. It doesn't bother me since any time I need it to be a solid connection is when it's in landscape mode, and mine is nice and tight at that mount point. But my guess is the tolerance in manufacturing is what is is, so just be prepared for that possibility. (If it were the other was around, I'd have done an exchange to see if that solved it)
The tripod mount is easy to attach (although it's a lot easier if you attach it to the tripod hot plate first, since the mount itself is so tiny). The fact that they give you TWO of the tripod mounts is just awesome, and a really great way to sell this unit. The tripod mount is really small, so it's really easy to lose. But with two of them, I can keep one permanently attached to the tripod, and the other one attached to the little mini-tripod it comes with, and not have to worry about what I did with that tiny piece of black plastic that's about the size of a pen cap. (The mini tripod is ok, but it's a freebie, so no complaints here. I have found it handy for sticking the phone into while I facetime, or watch a movie. again, a really nice bonus and a great way to package the unit at this price)
Overall, I can't say enough good things about this. With all the other high priced tripod mounting solutions for iphone out there, no one else has a nice slim case integrated without having to have a tripod mount built into it, or having to have a whole separate tripod mountable case. And the price can't be beat.

I bought this case because a good friend had one and he loves it. Ironically he doesn't take many photos with this iPhone, but I do a lot of photos. The case is designed nearly perfect, but there are a few major flaws it has...
1) Flash Feedback: This case has very, very bad flash feedback. If you plan on taking a photo using the built in iPhone 4 flash, which 50% of my photos need the flash, then you will not want this case. Or you must modify the opening yourself with a dremel to make the opening larger. I must remove my phone from the case every time I take a photo using the flash, which is a huge pain. Otherwise the photo will look terrible using a flash.
2) Charger & Video Cables: The only charging cable this case is compatible with is the original cable that came with the phone. If you have an AT&T car charger or if you connect your iPhone to a TV using the composite AV cables, this case must be removed since opening to the bottom connection is very small. Again, you can cut away using a dremel, but for me I didn't want to do so. I use several different cables, so again this was a huge pain to deal with
I have returned this Xshot case back to Amazon. I have called xShot about this design flaw, but I am not sure when or even if they are going to do anything about it.

The case is sturdy and fits well, allowing access to all ports and buttons on the phone (appropriate for everyday use). It comes with two identical mounting accessories that can attach to the bottom or side of the case. They snap off so you can leave them mounted to different tripods and easily attach the phone without screwing and unscrewing it. It even comes with a mini flexible tripod.
All for less than the cost of Apple's silicone bumpers!
