Good but not perfectOct 05, 2011

I have had few types of iPhone 4 bumpers and cases and they all seem to offer different strengths and weaknesses. Here are my thoughts on this particular case:
Pros:
1)Increases the wireless signal by about half a bar or so. Considering many bumpers don't offer any signal boost or even lower it, this case does a goob job of enhancing (at least not blocking) iPhone's signals.
2)Slim and elegant design. This case feel great and has a very slim form factor.
3)Allows non-apple cable plug-ins. Many bumpers and cases are designed only for the Apple cables, this one is not one of them.
Cons:
1)Doesn't protect the front glass (except with the vinyl plastic). Even with this case on, if you drop your iPhone 4 on a hard concrete surface you may still have the front panel completely cracked. My other $5 bumper (not case) does a much better job of protecting my iPhone 4 in all sides when dropped.
2)Completely covers the back, so if you are using a CPU intensive application, such as Tom Tom navigation, your iPhone will overheat. This won't be a problem for most uses and phone calls. But if you are using a very CPU intensive application, your iPhone will definitely get hot and the back cover will act as an insulatior, which will not be good for your iPhone.
3)Scratches fairly easily. This case is designed to be soft and not hard.
There are tons of other similar looking cases such as this and they all probably share similar flaws as this one. So if you are willing to live with the fundamental flaws, then this case is as good as any.

Pros: clicks on easily. looks good. pleasant matte feel. snug fit. Fits both 4 and 4s fine (I have a 4s.) Very slim, not bulky, slides easily to put in your pocket.
Cons: It's not quite deep enough. 1 mm deeper and it would have extended slightly beyond the front face, but instead it's flush, so there's no protection against scratching putting your phone face down.
Summary: didn't work for me; not enough protection. I'll keep looking for the perfect balance of slim and protective.

So I am a iPhone fan who recently purchased the 4S. I was disappointed to learn that there was a slight external change that rendered all of my previous cases unusable, I tend to buy the slim fit cases as it preserves the profile of this phone.
This case was a pleasant surprise. It fits the phone wonderfully and the way that the side slot for the buttons and the mute switch is cut allows it to work perfectly with the 4S. The color also rocks! I would (and have) recommended this to friends and coworkers!

I have had my white iPhone 4 since it came out and I have had a hard time finding a case that wasn't to bulky but also was a good match for the color of the phone. After looking around at other products like this such as the Incipio Feather and CaseMate Barely There. However I want something that was a soft touch and had a good color contrast for for the white. This was a PERFECT match. The "jean" blue makes a great color contrast off the white and still shows off the white iPhone enough. Very easy to hold and grip as well as fits the phone perfectly. Have not dropped it yet *knocks on wood* so I can't comment on protection but I was more concerned about the back of the phone getting scratched up from putting it on tables and such and this protects against that perfectly.
If you want and minimalistic case that fits the iPhone 4 great and looks good while doing it, don't look anywhere else... get this!

I'm not a case guy. I've had many Palm Treos, the Palm Pre, the HTC Evo Shift, and now I have the iPhone 4S. I've almost never done any kind of case, backing, stickers, protectors, etc. I just like a naked phone. Back in the old days, I had a Sony phone that I put in a leather and plastic case (very old school), and while the phone looked brand new when I took it out to recycle it... I felt like I had added weight and bulk to protect something that I only kept for a couple of years anyways... I felt like I missed out on the beauty and design of the phone due to the case. So I vowed never to do it again. And I've been very happy without cases or protectors. Once I broke a phone, but since I had a protection plan, it was quickly replaced and all was fine.
Enter the iPhone 4S. I love the phone itself--it's amazing and fast and beautiful. I do like the design visually: all clean and sharp, metal and glass... And in the hand it's not bad, but it feels slippery and sharp, and though well-bult, because it is so dense, you get the sense that it will crack if it is dropped. So I began a search for a case of some sort, but I didn't really want to destroy the aesthetic of the phone... and after lots of looking, I settled upon this one. I am delighted.
It is very minimalista, very nice looking, and adds nearly nothing to the size or weight of the phone. I like that I still have my buttons to see and press easily and that I can plug it in to the charger or headphones without issue. I like that the flash opening is large enough to prevent glare. I even like that the Apple logo is visible--not to be a show off--but because I think that it also perhaps helps excess heat escape instead of being totally sealed in. I also love the FEEL of this case--be sure to get the one that says "soft feeling" or SF on it. This feels almost rubbery--but not sticky--and makes a world of difference from a shiny hard plastic case, or even a slightly matte-plastic feel. It adds just the right amount of grip (like the back of the Evo Shift) without sacrificing pocketability.
In sum, this is a perfect case for those who want:
-A little bit more grip on their iPhone
-Some scratch and bump protection
-Basically a "naked" experience of using the phone
It's not going to be anything like an Otterbox level of protection, but I'd say that Elago nailed it with this product.
